Thank You Andrew and Susan for a lovely stay in Avebury! Very homely and comfy. I felt very relaxed at the Lodge to just do what I wanted. I cannot say enough about being able to stay in the Stone Circle, my reason for going-but then to stay in a National Trust home was an extra special treat as well.... more

Relaxing and luxurious (delightfully funky in a good way) accomodations, great food, friendly, knowledgable host (but not "in your face"), beautiful old house in the most awe-inspiring location. I grew up in England and had not been back to Avebury in 30 years. I was not disappointed, or disenchanted - a close to perfect holiday. My only shock was the... more

We spent one night at this lovely B&B. The host, Andrew, and his wife were very lovely people. Most hospitable. The house was lovely. Our room very comfortable and large with a bathroom en suite. The view from our window was of the stone circle. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Avebury. Oh,... more

We booked in here after having a really bad nights stay at a strange pub in a nearby village. It was fantastic to arrive into Avebury, and realise the Lodge looks out right onto to the stones. Beautiful house, eclectic inside, good breakfast, highly recommended. more

Avebury is a tranquil and magical place. It attracts all sorts of people for many reasons. If you want to experience this idyll to it's fullest and live for a while among the ancient stones...there is no better place than The Lodge Avebury. Andrew and his wife are great hosts, friendly and knowledgeable..and a great veggie breakfast to be had,... more

One word can only describe this B & B and that is awful. An uncomfortable bed, a shower that didnt work and an awful breakfast. For £150.00 I expect a lot more - do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to stay. more

Andrew is a memory man! He actually remembered what we did for a living! He'd lost weight but none of his humor and had the rooms on a 'special' rate. When I arrived the TV cameras were there from the BBC and some guy I saw doing some Brit show on PBS was getting upstaged by Andrew's knowledge of antiques!... more

I can not rate this place highly enough! Initially we planned to stay in Salisbury since the purpose of the visit was Stonehenge. However we were told by several people on Tripavdisor forum that Avebury is much less touristy and more interesting. I am really glad we have followed the advice and book The Lodge in Avebury. The lodge has... more

This is such a sweet little place! My hubby to be and I just got engaged there and we love Avebury almost as much as we do each other! Andrew, the owner of the B&B, is the nicest guy and I adored the shabby-chic European style rooms and the views are yummy! Clean and individual, great food (although it is... more

This is THE place to stay in Avebury, as the archaeologist Sir John Lubbock decided when he was working on the stone circle and Silbury Hill in the 1870s. Today The Lodge has everything you could wish for: a stunning view over the stone circle from your room, genial and friendly hosts, Andrew Blackall and his wife, very comfortable beds,... more
