A youth hostel as a youth hostel is supposed to be. Friendly staff. Basic but comfortable rooms and clean showers and toilets. Excellent breakfast. Large kitchen area divided in 4 mini-kitchens with their own freezer, fridge, cooker, oven and grill. Cosy lounge with TV. Walking distance from the center. Great experience if you are used to the basic comfort in... More

Salisbury YHA is in a quaint little building, just outside the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful with check-in and meals. The hostel and facilities were very clean, and well maintained. Parking is available on-site, although was very packed the weekend I was there. Food was great value, and good quality. One of my favourite hostels in... More

Loved this YHA! Although it is quite a walk from the railway station (especially the hill one has to hike before getting to the hostel) I loved the peace and coziness of this hostel. The guy at reception was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was nice as well; a bunk bed (top one a single and the bottom... More

I paid £28 for a single private room. the room was small (think harry potter, cupboard under the stairs!!) but had a single bed and a sink with shelf, mirror and light above it! i had a radiator, plug socket, 2 coat hooks and a window that opened. everything i needed for a one night stop-over. my only complaint about... YHA Salisbury is set in a quaint Victorian-isque bungalow a few minutes walk from Salisbury's city centre. It's quite cozy and the staff quite friendly, but do bear in mind that this is a youth hostel, with all its drawbacks, no late dinners, bunk-beds in rooms even if you'd asked for a double bed and so on. You'd have to... More

we stayed here for four nights. for two of those nights, the hostel had 50 Chilean teenagers (from wealthy families) as guests - 50 teenagers with minimal adult supervision, so we got no sleep and lots of mess in communal areas (i.e. bathrooms) for those two nights. the rooms are very bare bones, small but comfy. staff very friendly -... We stayed here just one night, and were the only two in a 3-person room, so we got lucky with that. My husband thought the beds were too short, but I didn't think it was an issue. The hostel is set in a beautiful location, and it's a 5-minute walk from town centre. The staff were very helpful and friendly.... More

Pending review “My first (and second) Stonehenge experience” I've actually been a guest in this hostel twice. Two years ago, as a first-time England "visitor" (I used to work as a baby-sitter), one of the destinations that poped in my head was, not at all out of the ordinary, Stonehenge. So I've checked and I've booked on the internet and... More

Hotel choice was made by relatives. This is like the Holiday Inn or Embassy Suites you have in the US. The rooms were basic but inexpensive, clean and quiet and breakfast was offered as part of the rate quote. You can also book with no breakfast but the location is a bit out of the way so ... for an... More

I stayed for one night and was lucky to get the only single room. It was very small but did include a washbasin. My room was really quiet and I had a great night’s sleep. I didn't use the self catering kitchen or the restaurant. The hostel is comfortable but a bit tatty in places. It is less than a... More
