A delightfully helpful receptionist was enough to overcome our shock at the price of a room at this three-star hotel. We booked and stayed here on the August Bank Holiday. Double Room was spacious, with extra seating and tables. PROS: Great location, historic building, friendly staff, reception open all night. CONS: Expensive for a small room with a lumpy bed and that could have used a more thorough cleaning. We were arriving late into Salisbury without a car, so it was the best of limited options for us, but I would look for better value next time. more
