I spent the August Bank Holiday with my Husband and two children in Salisbury, staying at the Stratford Lodge Hotel.
It was the most fabulous break. The proprietors were friendly and welcoming, when we arrived after a long journey down from the Midlands - just the sort of recpetion you would like to expect. They were helpful and very knowledgeable with regards to local attractions and endeavoured to answer all our queries without hestitation.
The hotel itself was decorated in a stylish yet homely way which provided an extreemly compfortable, relaxing place to return to after a long day sight seeing.
It overlooked a local park and was a good walking distance from the beautiful City of Salisbury which was perfect so we didn't have to get in the car all the time.
Overall it was a relaxing, and very enjoyable break, and I would highly recommend Stratford Lodge to anyone wishing to visit South Wiltshire! A big thank you to Jackie and Ian for making the stay so... more
