Terribly run down and delapidated. The room was musty and stale and in dire need of complete renovation. The food was poor, Unfortunately I had dinner there and was very disappointed. Breakfast was no better. Staff seemed to be untrained and disinterested. more

This proved a very convenient stopping point in Wiltshire on the A303 travelling from London to the West Country. It was tired and tatty and must be the only hotel in the world that stops serving breakfast at 09:30am on a Sunday morning......and still charges you for NOT having it . Attended a family wedding at this hotel and was very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in Room 19 that had recently been renovated and had good views overlooking the garden. Small "English Country" style of hotel. Had a very comfortable stay here for a weekend. Plenty of staff who were suitably attentive and efficient. Very pleasant family who own it.
