This was a stopping point for two nights between Devon and Brighton and so we could take in Stonehenge. The Hotel staff are lovely and the booking process was easy. The hotel is also in a great place to visit Stonehenge and Salisbury. Our room was only £75 per night b and b which it was worth really. The bed... more

First thing I need to say is that Amesbury is just a very beautiful place!!!!!! The hotel is quit and there is a very beautiful garden!!! A lot of young people working there which are very friendly... The Weekend I was there, there was a marriage in Amesbury and i think some guest were in the Antrobus Arms hotel. On... more

Terribly run down and delapidated. The room was musty and stale and in dire need of complete renovation. The food was poor, Unfortunately I had dinner there and was very disappointed. Breakfast was no better. Staff seemed to be untrained and disinterested. more

This proved a very convenient stopping point in Wiltshire on the A303 travelling from London to the West Country. The building was a 17th century coaching inn and the public rooms retain an air of slightly faded elegance. However the facilities including restaurants and bedrooms are excellent. A beautifully kept enclosed garden was a location for one of the Miss... more

This place needs some tender loving care. It was tired and tatty and must be the only hotel in the world that stops serving breakfast at 09:30am on a Sunday morning......and still charges you for NOT having it . Mould in the bathroom, cheap linolium on the bathroom floor, picture that fell off the nail in the wall, other pictures... more

Room was desperately in need of modernisation - bathroom still had lino on the floor and room had an electric heater. Can say however, that it was clean. Breakfast finished on a Sunday at 9:30, on a Sunday! was all they could do to give us some coffee and toast. The public rooms have wonderful proportions, but the potential is... more

We arrived early but the staff made sure our room was prepared first with no quibble which is unusual! In the mean time we sat in the bar and had a quick lunch which was lovely, good quality food. I noticed the manager was very keen on attention to detail from the interior and tidiness and towards the customers needs,... more

Attended a family wedding at this hotel and was very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in Room 19 that had recently been renovated and had good views overlooking the garden. The public areas were very nice and up to date (good bar, comfy lounge, smart restaurant & pretty garden). Staff were lovely - friendly and efficient - nothing seemed too much... more

Small "English Country" style of hotel. Had a very comfortable stay here for a weekend. Plenty of staff who were suitably attentive and efficient. Very pleasant family who own it. Attractive lounge with comfy seating just right for lingering in and traditional walled garden which would have been lovely if it had stopped raining! Good choice of cooked breakfast with... more
