Stayed at the Royal Berkshire last weekend after spending the day at Ascot Races. The hotel was just 1.5 miles from the Races so ideal after a busy day. This was a last minute find when the hotel we had booked in Windsor would not accept dogs due to incorrect information published on the booking website. tripadvisor reviews were very mixed proved accurate. The hotel is pleasant, the food ok rooms fairly clean & staff acceptable but nothing was especially good or very bad except for the pool which was small, dirty & cold. We stayed for 3 nights at the Royal Berkshire with our young son of 21 months. The whole experience for us was fantastic. The staff in both reception and the restaurant were very helpful and genuinely enjoyed talking and laughing with my son.
