Stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting friends and family in the area. Reception welcome was friendly and relaxed as was the remainder of our stay. We had dinner in the Italian restaurant the first night and what a treat, big hearty proper Italian food at a very reasonable price. Location is great, is about 20 min walk... More

Stayed 2 nights - picked for proximity to The Fat Duck restaurant in Bray. Welcome from Max on reception was excellent. Our room was fine, bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Free wifi throughout the hotel was good. The hotel has a very nice bar. Didn't eat in the restaurant as was dining elsewhere but the menu looked very good... More

The Thames Hotel has a confusing persona. It just doesn't present as a cohesive whole. The restaurant seems to be a different entity. While the bar has undergone a facelift, its just not not quite right. Its a puzzle because it enjoys a pleasant aspect with views of the river. There is a reception area but it was in the... More

I stay here regularly and I have a few things to mention. The food is good tip - order room service from the adjoining Italian. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. The bar is reasonable avg £3.50 a pint of lager. The rooms are good standard rooms always clean with good showers (I have stayed in 5 different rooms)... More

This hotel is in a great location on the Thames however room 112 looks over a car park not the river. The room was clean but fairly basic and there's no heating in the bathroom. The staff are really friendly and want you to enjoy your stay! It could do with a bit of updating but I would happily stay... More

Recently stayed at this hotel over night while on a business trip. it was ok for one nights stay, i wouldnt want to stay there any longer as the room was small and very basic. internet wifi was so slow, which didnt help. No lift access just steep stairs access, so could be a problem if you have heavy cases,... More

Excellent value for money Victorian hotel. Stayed here a few times in a single room. Very comfortable, spacious and clean. Only downfall is that on my 2nd stay I was on the top floor and there is no lift, so wouldn't suit those with mobility needs.

We spent only one night at this horrible place even though we had originally planned on a two night stay as a mini break. Where do I start? First impression when you drive up, needs a good overhaul with a coat of paint, once inside it's so old and dated a throw back to the seventies. No lift access just... More

We decided to have a weekend break in England as the Weather forecast was good. We tried a number of destinations, and got this hotel as it was one of a few that had the saturday night available and was very close to the Thames. Although obviously an old establishment, this hotel met our needs perfectly. The room was a... More

If you're looking for swanky and clinical, probably not for you. However, if you're looking for clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and very friendly, it's a great find. On my second stay (a few weeks after the first) the receptionist recognised me and greeted me by name then went straight into the bar to pull me a pint. Suberbly cooked steak... More
