just right for those who like to look after themselves. my wife and I have a gluten free, wheat free, diary free diet and this 'look after yourself' kind of B & B is great. the staff looked after us very well, the accommodation was well presented, although the 'below stairs' feel may put some off. The food and drinks... more

I stayed at Alma House for three nights and very much enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and great location. Windsor is a fantastic town, known for its castle, which is the weekend home of the British Royal Family, and the changing of the guards ceremony. The town itself is historic and has lots of restaurants, cafes and nightlife and is a... more

I stayed four nights at the Alma House and I was quite disappointed. The last 30 years I have spent many a holiday in GB and I have seen quite a variety of B&B's, guest houses and hotels. This is only a business: nobody really cares about the guests. Even the British youth hostels are more hospitable. The website doesn't... more

We stayed for a week in September and booked the 2 rooms based on reviews online. The accommodations that were assigned to us, were technically a transformed basement and extremely tight and claustrophobic. We have had staterooms on cruise ships with more square footage. The only furniture that was provided was a bed, 2 small end tables and 2 stools... more

The rooms are very nice, comfortable and no noisy at all (the B&B is in a very quiet street); we met the owners just before leaving, but the rooms had all we needed, included the necessary for a good breakfast. I wouldn’t look for another accommodation in Windsor. more

I was very impressed by the high standard of this accommodation. My room was spotless, warm and cozy. A fresh continental breakfast was in the fridge in my room ready for the following morning before I went off to see the tourist sights in Windsor. It took me about 5 minutes to walk into town and I felt very safe,... more

We stayed in Oct 08 and thought the B&B was great. A nice clean double room, private, comfy and warm. Continetal breakfast, croisants, toast, yogurt, juice, apples. Made a refreshing change as you could just sort yourself out and didnt have to get up at any partiular time. The location was great less than 10 minutes from the castle and... more

I stayed at Alma House for 4 nights in a single room last April. I arrived around 9 pm and had to check myself in using the security code given me by phone. Luckily there was a family in front of the house - they had just checked in, too - and they advised me where to find the entrance... more

Thank you for your review of Alma House B&B in Windsor. We have owned this property for ten years and whilst we are available during the day from 8.30am until 8pm we are a small business and cannot staff the property 24 hours and maintain our low prices. We have found over the years that most people prefer to be...

I came to stay in Alma House in Jaunary to see a show with my friend. We drove down and the parking was very good as we could use the drive. It was easy to find when we came off the motorway. We had our own front door to the B and B rooms which was a very good idea... more
