We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is right next to the river by a pedestrian only bridge. The room was not particularly big but well furnished in very good condition. The en-suite is Georgian style and spotlessly clean. There were coffee and tea making facilities in the room, with biscuits... More

Breakfast Section with view on the Thames, wooden wardrobe in the room, friendly front desk, location in walking distance of the centre and the castle Negative Bathroom without heating - at 0 degrees a no go area, my room was outside of the main hotel at the ground floor of an opposite courtyard , so whenever someone entered the courtyard... Great Hotel and great service from this premium Hotel. Did a couple of nights on a Business trip and the room was fine, if a little small. Service was excellent Breakfast was excellent, especially the Drambuie fueled Porridge. Car Park a bit hairy especially for my 4x4 but worked fine and no bumps. Excellent location for Windsor Castle and Eton. More

The initial issue at check inn was my booking the wrong week ! That said it took more than enough time to sort out. The room (46) is small, cold, very outdated and a bed about big enough for a 10 year old. Second night there I had to endure a disco below me so loud that I couldn't hold... More

We have stayed at this hotel four times over 4 years and I have to say it has improved with its new owners. We have always liked its location, its character and its old world feel. However this time we felt that the service was better . We will keep revisiting because of that. More

We stayed in the Wren House a number of years ago and found it delightful. When we needed to find a venue for Christmas and New Year's we were surprised to find it available throughout the period and booked in anticipation of another Windsor getaway in historic surroundings, virtually surrounded with Olde World charm. Bit of a disappointment, really, as... More

My fiance booked a two night spa-package weekend stay here as a special treat, after we'd walked past the hotel on a previous visit to Windsor and liked the look of the place. Our expectations were dampened slightly after reading other reviews on TripAdvisor, which particularly highlighted the noise issue and old decor - so the first thing to say... More

The location can't be beaten- on the Thames bank in Windsor by Eton Bridge, with a view of the castle. Staff are helpful but not well trained; one will take the trouble to address you by name, others won't. Very good fresh croissants and juice at brealfast, but poor bacon, A fantastic river view from the restaurant and outside terrace.... More

I think the communal areas of the hotel are lovely but the room I had was very run down and was not very pleasant. The carpet was very stained. The bathroom was old and very tired. I think they are upgrading the hotel but this room is in dire need of something. I had to carry my bag up lots... More

We stayed in an apartment for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to be able to walk everywhere from the hotel We did not eat in the hotel as we had facilities to prepare meals in our room and there were lots of cafes and restaurants just outside our door.
