Despite the rather shabby interior, you get a warm welcome at this hotel. The prices are very reasonable. The food and service are very good, the bar is comfortable and the atmosphere friendly. The rooms are adequate and clean but not smart. We enjoyed our stay and would go again.

I thought the hotel looked very tired from the outside. Parking is tricky but the staff are very helpful and we were able to get into the car park. On the outside the hotel looks a bit seedy, especially the 'watch football here' banner which gave me a sinking feeling. However, despite being a bit dated the hotel rooms were very clean and well decorated, the bed extremely comfortable with crisp linen. Beware of the cancellation policy for this hotel as booked through Booking.com, which is the only way I could see to book it. I cancelled before noon on Thursday for Friday, but found that it would have had to have been cancelled before midnight on Thursday, one day prior to one date before the reservation- very confusing. Drop in here before going through to the theatre. The beer is excellent with a rotating selection of brews. Food service is not all evening finishing about 8:30 I think.
