As I paid £100 per night I was expecting the beautiful room shown in the advertisement, sadly I didn't. My room was at the end of a very long dark corridor. As a visually impaired person I tripped over the corridor steps daily. My room was a great size for myself and had a beautiful view of the river and... more

We stayed at the Diglis for the first time in October 09 (Thurs/Fri nights). We had room 20 (a 'superior' room) in the new annexe and, looking from the outside, were glad we were not in the old part of the building. The room was an adequate size, with very comfortable twin beds (the pillows were great - how often... more

There must be two sides to this hotel, sadly I saw the dark side. On the positive, the hotel is based at the side of the river in a beautiful location close to the Cathedral and within a 10 minute walk of the City centre. Unfortunately my room was based in the 'main building', not the annexe. The room was... more

We read all previous reviews, so booked a room in the annexe. Bathroom brand new so was excellent, but the room itself was a little tired. Best thing was French doors opening onto the garden and river. Food OK but a little over priced. WiFi only available in the public bar and reception. more

Stayed here for work on a weekday night in a room in the annex which overlooked the river, with a patio door leading into the far end of the beer garden. Bathroom was pretty new and spotless, good powerful fixed shower over bath. Bed was comfy and well made. While the furniture was slightly old and tatty, suited the style... more

Can honestly say that the only real positive for the Diglis is its great location, right on the river & a few hundred yards from Worcester high street. The main hotel building itself, has a certain old-fashioned charm, but is generally unclean & in need of some updating. We had a small twin room, one bed of which was covered... more

From the moment we arrived the sun was shining, the hotel was busy which created a lovely atmosphere. Check in was easy, we were talked through the breakfast times and dinner service, on our way to being shown over to our room which made it all the more personal. The room was a beautiful - in keeping with the hotel... more

I have stayed at the Diglis many times over the past 50 years or so. The location is superb but the rest of the hotel, rooms, food etc., have never lived up to the standard of the location. However I am pleased to say that the bedrooms, or at least the one we had, have been refurbished and are far... more

Paying £150 a night for DBB for two was probably about right - the evening meals were lovely, and the staff couldn't have done more for us - even bringing our dessert to the room an hour after we finished our meal as we wanted to wait! ( She offered - nice touch). We were in the annexe and the... more

We have stayed at Diglis house a few times now, and would not stay anywhere else in Worcester. It has an incredible location on the banks of the River Severn, and a terriffic view of the Cathedral. Rooms are spacious, especially in the new building and are furnished with antiques. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel, however, is the friendly... more
