Stayed for one night. Had a very large room which I had paid extra for. Owner and staff all very friendly and helpful. If ever in Bangor again would definately return to the Garden Hotel. Didn't hear or smell anything from restaurant underneath. Restaurant was amazing, the best Chinese/Cantonese I've had, especially the vegetarian 'pork' sweet and sour. more

A soon as I walked into the Garden Hotel, I saw that the place was clean, well presented, with a tasteful colour palette-golds, browns, reds (which made it seem very warm and beautiful.) Greeted by very helpful and friendly staff who genuinely care for your needs. I felt at home and the atmosphere was very relaxed. As it is a family-run... more

Stayed for two nights at the hotel. The bedroom was large and everything very comfortable.Plenty of variety for breakfasts to suit all tastes. As our room was at the front of the Hotel it was very noisy until midnight because of the traffic. However I overcome this problem wherever I stay by wearing earplugs. The staff and owner were very friendly. more

I stayed here one night in January and had a lovely time. The receptionist was great and I had a nice chat with the owner and his family at breakfast the next day. The room was quite big with everything you needed and it was fun to go from a rather traditional bedroom to the Chinese style area for breakfast.... more

This hotel is situated in a perfect place across from the train station; however, I had some mixed experiences. On one hand, the staff is more than willing to help when ever you need it. On the other, the noise from the street was a bit surprising given the size of Bangor. I guess it was just the crowds heading... more

I stayed here for one night in Aug 07 while on business in the area. I ate in the restaurant where the food was very tasty and the service was excellent. The bill came to £55 including two three course meals and a bottle of wine plus tea/coffee - well worth it. The accomodation facilities let the hotel down slightly.... more

From the outside this hotel doesn't look very much, & looks slightly 'run down' & forgotten. However, the quality of the room, & exceptional staff make it a real treat to stay in (For the price). The service is top notch. Andrew (The owner?) & his staff simply can not do enough to help you. They care about the place... more

I recently spent the weekend - a rather damp occasion in late October - in Bangor. On the strength of the University of Wales recommendation my Girlfriend and I stayed at the Graden Hotel and I have to say it was an excellent experience. The prices may seem a little steep but remember that this is a holioday town and... more
