Excellent location on the Menai Straits, with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. There is a large free car park about 200m away and a drop off point by the Galeri Theatre. It is only a short walk into the town centre and there are 2 supermarkets just minutes away, where provisions can be purchased. Receptionist could not have been... more

Travelodges don't change a great deal from place to place and whatever they may lack in character they certainly make up for in cleanliness - this Travelodge is no different. The hotel itself is newly built, with lifts to the first and second floor where rooms and reception are located. I have to say the staff on duty - Ellen,... more

We arrived in the middle of a storm, 45 minutes before the check in time of 3pm. There was no receptionist on duty, so the cleaner was at the desk. We were informed that if we wished to check in before 3pm we would need to pay an extra 10 pounds. We declined to do so, and at a stretch... more

A more soul-less place to sleep would be hard to find; and it is wrong to call this a Hotel - it's not even a motel since it doesn't possess a car park. Stark, characterless and as inhospitable as is possible to be. The Booking Confirmation advises that in your room you can expect 'TV, coffee & tea making equipment,... more

Just stayed overnight at the Caernarfon Travelodge with my fiance. We travelled down to spend a day at Portmeirion and made the 25min trip back up to Caernarfon. The following day was spent exploring around Anglesey. The location could not be more ideally suited as you are on the edge of the Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdon and Anglesey. Having pre-booked... more

Clean, modern hotel. Our room even had a "sea view" between a gap in the buildings in front! Free parking nearby in a sea front car park. Unlike other Travelodges, this one has a lift, so no lugging bulky luggage up and down stairs. Caernarfon town centre and the castle are only 5-10 mins walk away; we were in town... more

We spent long weekend and had a good time. Location I think is good and will be even better once the units around the dockland are filled. The room is a good size but would of liked either some easy chairs or sofa, only had one desk chair which was hard seat. Also some shelving to put clothes on did... more

Great location for Snowdon & other tourist locations and also almost half the price of the premier inn across the road. Would recommend as a base... more

We stayed for 3 nights (Mon - Wed). The hotel is new, rooms very clean and functional. There was a double bed, dressing table with coffee/tea making facilities, a small flat screen TV, an 'open plan' hanging rail and ensuite with shower. All you really need for a base to sleep. There is a convenient free car park less than... more

After being transfered here from bangor(which was useless) was abit confused with the parking. This is a newly built travelodge and it is spotlessly clean. I dont remember the guy on receptions name but he was very helpful and sorted us out staying the next night even though they were full, so many thanks to him he saved us the... more
