Have stayed at Highfield House many times and absolutely love it. Margaret and Roger are wonderful hosts and really make you feel welcome without being over friendly. The house is wonderful and retains its Victorian charm. The White room is amazing and it's bathroom is huge, almost as big as the bedroom. Margaret and Roger are very knowledgeable about the... More

We loved Highfield House. Lovely bedrooms, and the White Room's bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom itself! A living room for guests'use. Excellent breakfast. The location was close to downtown so we could walk to dinner each night. Also, the location of Abergavenny is such that it's an excellent base of operations for the Brecon Beacons and many... More

We had a great stay in Abergavenny at Highfield House. The owners were very friendly, the house is fantastic (I think the website photo's of the inside don't really do it justice), big rooms, very comfortable and and a great breakfast room. The B&B is very easy to find, on a quiet road, and just a short walk into the... More

A friend and I spent a night recently at Highfield House and just loved it. Very comfortable and spacious accomodations (we were in the White room - a twin - and the bathroom was huge). The owner was very friendly and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner (The Angel Hotel). It was a very peaceful night's stay - the... More

We had stayed at the B&B last year and this year was equally as good. They have 3 well appointed guest bedrooms, comfy beds and quiet location just off the A40 with off road parking. Guest lounge with books to read and a great breakfast choice. Owners are very welcoming and helpful. Very handy for visiting "Big Pit" mining museum... More

This was a great chance to feel like you're really staying in someone's home. It was cozy, well-appointed, comfortable, and even had a little library, garden and sitting room. They offered a full English breakfast. It was a short walk to town and the price was right. We'd definitely stay there again. More

We have stayed with Roger and Margaret on several occasions, since my husband has business nearby. The hosts are very helpful, the rooms comfortable and well appointed, and the house is just 2 blocks from the train station and 3 blocks from town centre and the bus station. Breakfast is bountiful. An all around great B&B. More

Highfield House 6 Belmont Road, Abergavenny Monmouthshire NP7 5HN highfieldabergavenny.co.uk Highfield House Bed & Breakfast is a lovely Victorian villa within walking distance of the town center. This home is charming and the owners are warm and friendly. We stayed here during the annual Abergavenny Food Festival in September 2003 and it turned out to be an ideal location for... More
