The view is beautiful - with Snowdonia and other mountains across the estuary of Conwy - the room we had, with a brand new bathroom, was lovely, the breakfast delicious, and Wendy and Michael were delightful hosts. We travel extensively, staying at B&Bs and this is one of the nicest ones we've stayed at. We'd stay here again!

We stayed here for a couple of nights in the summer and i have to say that its one of the most beautiful settings we've stayed in. I can't fault anything about the old rectory, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent quality with all locally sourced produce and the friendly welcome we received from the owners... It was only a short night we could spend at "The Old Rectory Country House" as we were travelling to Ireland. We arrived late and had to get up early next morning to get the ferry on time. Yet, we still have been able to catch a few glimps of the beautiful surroundings. Around Conwy and especially around the premises... More

A gracious house overlooking the Conwy River and across to a range of hills and with ample parking. A warm welcome from Michael Vaughan and his wife Wendy and the feeling of being more than just a guest in a B and B. We had a comfortable room with a stylish modern bathroom. Breakfasts were leisurely and generous with a... More

I found the Old Rectory on my SatNav. When quoted the room price on the phone my first thought was “a bit pricey”. I am so glad we decided to have a look. The Old Rectory is an experience not just an accommodation. Michael the landlord is clearly a perfectionist and everything is perfect. You are transported into another realm... More

My husband and I have just returned from a three night break in this beautiful house. The charming owners, Michael and Wendy Vaughan made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. Michael was extemely helpful in recommending and booking some great restaurants for us and also in drawing maps of the local area so that we got to see... More

This charming Country House is surrounded by a beautiful garden and has sweeping views over the Conwy estuary and Snowdonia. Inside the house we were greeted by the owner, Michael Vaughan, who welcomed us into his beautiful Georgian country house which is tastefully decorated to create a period atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and very attractive. We will... More

We stayed three nights in one of the Coach House rooms. These rooms are less expensive then the ones in the main house however, still wonderful. Our room was very cozy, romantic and very clean. Breakfast was better than in most other B&B we have seen so far (and we have seen quite a lot...). The breakfast room was wonderful... More

We stayed here with our 13 month old for 2 nights. The proprietors Mr and Mrs Vaughan were charming warm and helpful and clearly take the time and interest to engage with their guests. You are made to feel very welcome. We were impressed by Mr Vaughan's helpfulness with recommending and booking restaurants for us before our arrival. The settings... More

An intimate and friendly base from which to explore North Wales, the Old Rectory is set in stunning Gardens overlooking the Carneddau mountains, the bay and Conwy castle. We had the Mahogany half tester room at the front of the house, the room was generously proportioned, with rather a grand en suite bathroom with corner bath. The furniture was antique... More
