Comfortable, quiet accommodation and breakfast made to order and cooked to perfection. Outstanding location, walking distance to the city centre. This was my second trip to Conwy-stayed at The Castle Hotel previously- and would not hesitate to stay at Whinward House again. Chris and Janis are brilliant hosts, providing excellent recommendations for sights to see that you might not find... More

I booked the Whinward after reading the positive reviews on here, but I have to say, I was very disappointed. First though, the good points: It’s within easy walking distance of both Conwy itself and the Marina. The couple who run it are (as everyone says) friendly. The place itself is tidy and for the most part, reasonably clean. So... More

Stayed here yet again July 25th to 29th. We're golfers so it was handy for the golf course and also to walk into Conwy on the days we're not playing. Also good as a touring base to the beautiful places North Wales has to offer. Wonderful place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Janis and Chris, always a... More

Me and my friend stayed in the twin room and it was lovely the bathroom had a large corner shower cubicle which was brilliant (but not suitable for tall people!!). The breakfast was cooked to perfection and you could choose exactly what you wanted. The bread was delicious and made me regret giving my breadmaker away!! Janis and Chris were... More

Janis and Chris made us most welcome from the moment we parked the car. Their hospitality is exceptional, with nothing being too much trouble. Janis even set up my ipad, and satnav. The room was comfortable, with all the facilities you need. A map drawn by Janis is helpful to find your way around, and good eating places are well... More

The only thing that makes staying with Janis and Chris at Whinward House different from staying with your best friends in Wales is the fact that you pay to stay there. The house feels like home, and you are welcomed in and treated as a friend, from parking in the driveway to hearing about the knicknacks around the house, from... More

I brought our American friends to visit and after a quick tour of the B&B my friends quickly said they wished they could stay longer. The B&B has a book swap and a DVD library. They are well positioned between the town, the marina/beach, and a beautiful hike. Its such a great location and the owners were great. What a... More

After a leisurely drive through Wales it was late afternoon and we’d stopped off in Conwy, we’d been touring all day so we decided to stay over rather than drive back home. We used Tourist Information to find our accommodation, the lady there had a confidence about the booking, "I'm not supposed to say too much but you’ll be alright",... More
