Boy am I glad I chose this place! I had a work course up in north Wales. The evening before, I finished work and within half an hour I had found this place on the internet and booked my single room, (6) and set off. It was really easy to find. I had a lovely warm welcome from the lady... more

I reviewed this hotel about a year ago and again had a very good stay - very clean, good size room, comfartable, lovely extras like bottles of shower gel and shampoo and very good tray hospitality tray, excellent breakfast, friendly service - but be warned that the current owners are selling the place as they are retiring end of this... more

Booked on the day by email - had a reply within about 15 minutes. We had two single rooms, each £25. Both rooms spotless, nicely decorated, very comfortable beds, nice fluffy pillows (two, even). I had a room with a bath - spotless, quick to fill, piping hot water. And the window in the room actually opens [now would you... more

Stayed here one night so we could fish the river in and around llangollen. Wished it was a week or more! I can honestly say that it is one of the friendliest , comfiest bed and breakfast establishments I have stayed in. The bathrooms (en-suite) were fresh and clean and very modern. The rooms we had (7 and 8) had... more

Absolutely impeccable small hotel. The garden was neatly landscaped and well maintained. The interior was spotless, and tastefully modern. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and down to earth. I booked at short notice on a work related trip to north Wales and had a single room for £35 including breakfast. I was advised when I phoned that it... more

This hotel is not only furnished to exacting standards, but there is nothing that the owners won't do to ensure you enjoy a pleasant stay. There's also a wedding chapel and beautiful terrace. The food is delicious and there is an early bird menu for those watching the pennies. The hotel itself is set back from the main road so... more

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. We found the appointments superior, the food very good & the staff friendly. So why is it we were happy to move on? Too many assertions of rules. Everywhere you looked there were signs and postings about who could sit where and when and for how long. One isn't allowed to... more

We are really surprised to see these comments as we have tried to keep notices to a minimum. However, as a strictly non-smoking hotel, it is only fair that residents and dinner guests are advised accordingly. For most of our guests this policy, plus great food, comfort and cleanliness are the reasons they return time after time. One notice in...

We were really looking forward to staying in what is supposed to be the region's only 4-star hotel after a late night of working and travelling. They graciously held the kitchen open for us to enjoy an evening meal which was excellent though the room itself was so brightly lit and we were sharing the restaurant with a large birthday... more

We remember this couple well, lovely young people, smiling all the time. He plays trumpet and was performing at a local venue. We were pleased to keep the restaurant open for them - they were very late - and they really enjoyed the food. A birthday celebration was underway by the time thay came to eat but was not excessive...
