Was intending to stay for a night and ended up making a week of it! Gorgeous B&B in a truly beautiful location. Stunned at the previous review entry - all I can say is you must have got the wrong Oakmere! Wonderful hosts - Lyndsey & Jeremy were extremely friendly and made us both feel very welcome. I am a... more

Breakfast consisted of the kind of sausages nobody eats at home. Once they had our money the owners didn't have time to talk to us about where anything was and overall it seemed a lot of cost cutting had been done on things like cleaning etc. We got the impression the place wasn't their top priority anymore which is a... more

This is a very disappointing review; particularly in the light of all of the positive feedback we have received over the past 14 years from our new and regular customers alike, both here on TripAdvisor and in person. The comments really don’t ring true with the hospitality that we extend to all of our customers. Given the recent top award...

I booked the Oakmere after reading a review on this website. We weren't disappointed! The house itself is beautiful and has history attached. Beautiful large rooms with original victorian features. The owners Lyndsey and Jeremy were extremely friendly. The breakfast was lovely and presented attractively...all fresh! and in beautiful surroundings! Myself and my husband stayed along with 3 family members... more

This hotel is lovely and in a great location only a couple of minutes walk from the main village street. Lindsay and her husband are super - really friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Breakfast was dissapointing - almost everything was out of a tin or a packet and the homemade element seemed sadly lacking. Overall... more

We were welcomed warmly by Lindsay on our arrival and shown two available rooms from which we could take our pick. We went for room 5 which has twin beds and an en suite shower. The views from the window were fantastic over the town to Castell Dinas Bran. I'm sure Room 6 would be equally as good. These rooms... more

The warm welcome on arrival set the tone for the whole weekend. My room (5) was spacious, well appointed and immaculate. The breakfast was delicious...if a little early between 8 & 9! Without hesitation I would reccommend this establishment to anyone travelling around the area. Superb! more

The Oakmere Guest House is easy to find in the small town of Llangollen, Wales. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was wonderful and filling. Our hostess was kind and very helpful with travel questions. The home was spotless - absolutely sqeaky clean. The only thing we had slight difficulty with was hauling all of our heavy luggage to the... more

A lovely small hotel in a quaint North Wales town. Great location, huge rooms in a beautiful vistorian house. Perfect hosts and extremely helpful (we had an issue with our rental car and they spent hours helping us with phone calls, directions etc.). Good base for the region. Make sure to have dinner at the Corn Mill (stone mill house... more

We (fiance and I) stayed here for one night on the way up to Holyhead ferry port to break up the car journey. After telephoning a few other places (which I had noted on our previous drives through wales) I either got unhelpful or downright frosty reception staff. When I spoke with Lyndsey at the Oakmere I immediately knew I... more
