Have read the previous reviews with interest. I think people expect to pay the bare minimum but receive 5* accommodation in return. Yes the hotel is a little dated, but it has lots of other great attributes that more than make up for it! Do not under any circumstances eat at this hotel. We stopped for lunch...thankfully not as a resident. The frontage of the hotel looks well kept and inviting....never judge a book by it's cover. This is exactly what it says it is. A 2* establishment, in glorious countryside. Room for 2 adults and 3 children was ideal. we visited this hotel with my family for my mothers birthday we walked in orderd our drinks before bein seated .. as we walked into the dining area we were swamed with flies . the windows were filthy and a general dirty look to the hotel . which is a total shame its in a lovely part of llangollen .... more
