Called from a list (obtained at tourist office) after getting off train from Exeter -- only property that answered. Steve Jones came to Stena Terminal and picked us up, then drove me back when i found, upon unloading at the house, that i had left medical equipment at the ferryhead. When it turned out that we were too late to... more

After reading revues on trip advisor, my husband contacted Tasma Guest House directly. He always found the advice offered pleasant and efficent, and the service prompt. This carried over to our arrival. Our host and hostess were most welcoming. On arrival my husband had to return a hire car to the depot and our hostess kindly showed him the way... more

We arrived late afternoon in Holyhead and told the tourist office lady we were looking for a B&B close to the water and in walking distance to a seafood restaurant. From a long list we choose "Tasma" and are glad we did. We were received with a very warm welcome. The house is furnished with excellent taste. Our suite was... more

Proprietor, Lorraine Jones, went out of her way to make my brief stay in Holyhead special. She even gave me a brief tour of the island and dropped me off at the ferry terminal in the morning. My room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great. The Tasma is within easy walking distance of the interesting waterfront. I highly... more

By the time we arrived, we were tired and soaking wet. We were greeted at the door by Lorraine's warm smile. We felt better immediately. It was 8:30pm and we asked if there was a restaurant still open. She said there was a nice one, but their last service was at 9pm. We asked for directions and she said it... more

When you arrive in an unfamiliar town, cold , wet and hungry there is only one place you really want to be and that's tucked up in your own bed at home. Well in Holyhead this place is the next best thing. Clean and comfortable, great food, nice people. more

B&B as it should be. Clean, comfortable beds, decent size rooms. Fabulous breakfast. Friendly and kind landlady tries very hard to make you feel at home. Sad to leave the next day, but the ferry beckons ! Will definitely stay again if I am back this way again. more

Myself and my partner needed to stay over in Holyhead to catch the early morning Ferry to Dublin and, knowing of Holyhead’s reputation as a less than salubrious town, we went to some effort to locate a good bed and breakfast. We happened upon Tasma Guesthouse here on Trip Advisor and, from the glowing reviews, thought we had struck gold.... more

Management response from
Porthdafarch, owner

I have been running this Guest House for 13 years and this is the first negative response I have encountered. I am sorry that the ladies feel I objected to their same -sex relationship as this was not the case. They are certainly not the first I have come across and I have no problem with this. They seemed happy...

My husband and I had just complete a fantastic six days of bicyling from Cardiff to Holyhead, a distance of nearly 400km. On reaching our final destination, it was a real joy to find Lorraine and her B&B, Tasma Guest House just off the seafront. Our room was luxurious, quiet, with an extemely comfortable bed, very important after seven hours... more
