We wanted to climb Snowdon, and to relax afterwards. We found this place on their website, and we thought: that would be nice. We were received by the owners, Ghislaine and Jaap, and we felt immediately at home. Lovely, homely, cosy, that's what this place is. Nice breakfast, good instructions what to do in the village (meals e.g.), relaxing atmosphere,... more

My wife and Iwanted a short stay, just to relax. Throught tripadvisoer we found this little gem. Relaxing our stay certainly was. We were collected from the station by Japp, his wife told us where everything in the guest house could be found, including the bar and the swimming pool. It turned out that we had a side facing room... more

In our dutch eyes the park hill is the prototype of an english guesthouse. We are sorry for the word 'english' but the adjective 'welsh' is in our heads not related to gardens, lawns and countryhouses. And that is what we are talking about here. The park hill is more an owners-house than a guest-house. When you are there, you... more

Just got back from a two night break at this guest house. Nice friendly staff. clean room, comfy bed, not far from village. The swimming pool was not very inticing we took out swimmers but did not fancy it when we saw it but it is probably ok. The breakfast was ok and there was a nice seating area outside... more

Stayed for 4 nights. Excellent service, friendly owners, lovely location, central to many attractions, with lovely walks. The pool was a definite plus, as a non swimmer, frightened of the water it gave me the opportunity to gain some confidence without other people around. Wished we could have stayed longer, but are hoping to go back soon! more

The staff was exptremely friendly, however, we had chosen to stay at the Park Hill Bed and Breakfast because of the pool and we were highly dissapointed. The pool area and room smelled horrible of mold and sweat. Everything was very outdated and needed to be replaced, the pool did not smell of cloreen. The rooms were neat and tidy,... more

Just by chance we passed the Park Hill. It looked very attractive, and we decided to try it. The welcome was very inviting indeed. We were shown around, and choose a side facing double room with a view across the field next doors. The first thing we saw was a pair of buzzards flying around : never seen these great... more

We travelled through Wales. Wanted to stay at lovely places, and the loveliest we found was the Park Hill. Friendly, comfortable. We found Jaap's and Ghislaine's place the best we encountered in Britain. Very helpful staff, beautiful place to stay. We slept excellently, had great breakfast and unwinded completely, the pool was very helpful for that! And a nice village... more

Looked for a centrally located place. Betws-y-Coed is such a place. And the Park Hill is the special gem there. Gislane and Japp run a very nice guest house. In style, old building, some retro rooms, we love it and we’ll be back. Try sunset in the conservatory with a nice Whiskey (ask Japp for advice!). Walk to the village... more
