£45.45 for one night with NO BREAKFAST plus £10 for my dog. Room 18 has a sloping ceiling with window which I walked into hitting my head and losing some skin, when I reported it in the morning, it was as they were not interested, the village is a tourist zone, this hotel does nothing for the country or area! more

Have stayed many times at this hotel over a 10 year period but this was most definately my last, I'd booked a two night stay with my partner our room was very nice apart from the constant noise from outside from 8pm till the early hrs. At both breakfast sittings we were sat with the left over food, cups &... more

The Glan Aber is centrally located in pretty Betws y Coed. In the front it is a small hotel and pub and in the back a backpackers bunk house. I stayed with a friend and our two sons in the bunkhouse as we were on an "adventure" holiday. The bunk rooms are small (not much space for the backpack) and... more

This hotel is a rabbit warren of a place. The downstairs has undergone some refurbishment but the bedrooms though clean have polystyrene type ceilings (aren't these a fire danger?) and the first room we were put in the window had no catch and was low level and could therefore have been a death trap for our enthusiastic dog. (helpful staff... more

Arrived at the hotel and had a warm welcome from the staff. The room was clean but small and did not have a bath, only a shower. For a short stay this wasn't a huge problem, particularly given how reasonable the rooms were. Tempted by an attractive menu and specials board we opted to eat in at the hotel but... more

Booked via the web, got a cracking deal, 2 nights for the price of one in a single room including breakfast for £45. The bedroom was adequate, if a bit cramped, and the single duvet was small and caused me to wake up a few times in the night feeling quite cold. On the flip side I had a really... more

I am writing this by way of a big thankyou the staff & owners of the hotel for a fantastic stay over Easter. I recently lost my husband, so taking my first holiday with my children on my own I thought would be an ordeal - far from it, the staff at the hotel made us so welcome that I... more

My husband and i had a lovely bank holiday weekend at the Glan Aber Hotel. The food was brilliant, we ate at the hotel the three nights that we were there as we couldn't get enough of it! The room was lovely. It had just been redecorated and was very clean. The staff were very welcoming and although they were... more

I read a previous review where the person had booked a four poster bed and had not got one - they advised travellers to get a confirmation. I booked direct with the hotel and received a confirmation that there would be a bath and 4 poster bed available for our wedding anniversary. I was therefore disappointed that we had neither... more
