This is our fourth time at this hotel and every time it gets better. The food is out of this world - great value and fantastic cooking! In a 2 week holiday in England & Wales this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at and also the worst. The whole hotel smelt of stale chip fat, the carpet in the bathroom covered holes in the floorboards and the staff did not seem to understand the difference between genuine friendliness and undue familiarity. A group stayed for a family event and the location and completely accomodating staff really added to the fantastic location. The food for a large part quite oftens suffers, but not so here. This is a tradional style hotel and ideal for family occasions where a quiet and relaxing atmospher is ideal. Thorougly recommended. more
