this hotel is ok for its purpose which is to sleep but thats it. very dated, bedding consists of some sheets and very itchy orange blankets. very questionable marks in our room. Great town centre location and a lovely bar downstairs. more

Just back from the Wynnstay, where do you start it was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed. Mould was growing in the bathroom soap which had a pubic here was waiting for us along with a toilet roll holder covered in rust which just looke like poo. We had a twin room I had to sleep on a plastic... more

After spending half an hour driving around the town centre we finally came accross the hotel car park. I knew what to expect from the outside having stayed here 8 years ago. I told my colleagues that they were in for a treat, how wrong could I have been! After checking in we went up to our rooms. The first... more

Having already booked a room before finding this website I was very concerned & wondered what I'd let myself in for. I needn't have worried. Our room was clean and spacious with all facilities in working order. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is right in the centre of town so we were able to walk everywhere... more

This hotel is extremely cheap, however at the very least you would expect clean linen, a bathroom minus mildew all over it, pillows that dont smell of stale sweat, beds that do not have protruding broken springs digging into your back and a smoke detector not covered in a plasic bag and 24 hour builders working next door drilling! The staff... more

Our second stay at this hotel and the location is fab as well as the price. The hotel rooms do need refurbishing but they offer everything we want.....TV, Tea and Coffee, Power points. Shower and Bath. more

I should really have read the reviews here before I booked a room at this deeply unpleasant establishment. It was impossible to find. If arriving by car you approach the hotel from the back, which looks not dissimilar to a multi-storey carpark. But in many respects, I would have preferred to spend the night in a multi-storey carpark. The heavy... more

The building looks welcoming and traditional. The bar seems light and warm. The reception is functional looking but ok. The room was terrible - the matresses are rubber mats, the walls contain filler patches where something had gone wrong - in many places and the botch paint job added to drab and run down feel. Doors were chipped and broken,... more

Rather rundown and poorly maintained hotel. Reception staff were friendly and the hotel and rooms had been cleaned but the rooms were in a poor state. Paint was 'blown' and blistering on parts of the walls, the window did not lock shut although the opening was limited. The bed had a plastic sheet, presumably to protect the mattress, that made... more

Parked in the hotel car park after a bit of a struggle to find it, but checked in with no problems and a helpful & polite receptionist. The rooms were O.K and the bed was comfotable and the room clean - is was fine for our needs. It wasn't the height of luxury or modern design, but when you just... more
