I stayed at the Lemon Tree from Sept 4th and checked out on Sept 8th. I have stayed here before with my wife, this time I travelled alone. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom need a bit of work. Plumbing fixed with black electrician's tape.... a small issue. There was an issue with thier internet connection... more

We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time, staff were very friendly and polite, the breakfast was exellent but we found the evening meals expensive for what it was but all the same it was very nice. We will definately be booking up again next year. Full marks more

An excellent, small hotel, a real gem after soulless chain hotels. Idiosyncratic Victorian mansion, with excellent Italian food, excellent wine, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The room was spotless, small but very comfortable, the bowl of fresh fruit was a nice touch. We were allocated a room at the front near the main road, but as I live on a main road the traffic noise, such as it was, was no problem. We ate at the Lemon Tree on Friday night and got 3 courses... more

The Lemon Tree Hotel certainly ticked all the right boxes. The rooms and hotel were clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and the management and staff work so hard to ensure that your stay is as pleasant and homely as possible. We stayed on the Chester races package deal, tremendously good value. After finding no rooms in Chester due the Races, booked here. Not the easiest to find after a 6 hour wet drive from south, but location is OK if on a busy roundabout. Parking OK around building if you don't leave it too late and the restaurant is busy. Room clean but pretty small and basic(no hairdryer); Bed was hard... more

I live in Wrexham and occasionally eat at the Lemon Tree. Decor is quite nice and staff are friendly and helpful - although can sometimes be a little disorganised. I wouldn't rave about the food but it is always good with a decent well-priced wine list and always have an enjoyable evening - I'm always happy to eat there/meet friends... more
