I booked two suites for myself and friends for a one night stop over before we picked up our narrowboat from the nearby Chirk Marina. The rooms were spacious and clean with a large bed on a mezzanine floor and sofa / desk etc on the ground floor. AND they allocate rooms for smokers which is a bonus for those... more

We booked online to stay at Moreton Park Lodge via their website. Unfortunately, whilst I was amending some details on their form, it must have re-set itself to show the arrival date as that same evening. Ideal place for overnight or few days stay. The staff are efficient and pleasant. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. Dining facilities are a few yards away in the Lord Moreton; breakfast was extensive and other meals adequate and well-priced. We stayed at this hotel on the way to a Dance championship in Wrexham, and found it excellent, rooms were very clean, plenty of space and the staff very freindly, with a party of 75 we did not have one complaint, in fact they all have asked our organiser if she could arrange for us to stay again next year.... more

I made a last minute booking online for a work trip, but when I arrived, the receptionist told me the non-smoking room I had booked was not available. It was too late to find somewhere else, so I had to take it. The room they gave me was disgusting smelling - it was like walking into a stale, smoky bar!... more

Made a last minute booking for an overnight stay. Receptionist very friendly on arrival. Good size, immaculately clean double room. Great to have a power shower in the ensuite. A pleasant place to stay for visiting the market town of Oswestry and the Welsh Borders.
