Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another wonderful stay at Clydey. The perfect spot for a family with young children. We have returned to Clydey on a number of occasions and love the exclusive use of the pool and the children look forward to feeding the animals each morning!

Property's Favourite Review
We returned to Clydey for our third visit and as always it did not disappoint. This was the best and most relaxed week we've had on holiday as a family and well worth the trip on the ferry from Ireland! Our daughters are 6 and 7, I wasn't sure if they would enjoy it as much as when they were younger but they honestly enjoyed all the activities even more. They still loved the little playroom, feeding the animals but most of all the swimming pool every day. It was great to be able to book a time slot for the pool, I especially loved an early morning swim with the sun coming up, the views are stunning. Snowdrop cottage is so cosy, beds are comfortable and everything you could need is provided. I loved sitting outside our cottage each morning and evening, you could never get sick of those views. The outdoor hot tub is such a treat as well! There is so much to do in the area too, we had great days out at Folly Farm, Heatherton, pretty towns to explore and amazing beaches. Had a beautiful Sunday lunch in the local pub The Nags Head and went back for their pie night later in the week. Don't miss it if you stay in Clydey! We had thought this would be our last trip to Clydey with the girls getting older but we loved it so much and everything was so relaxed that I think we'll have to return again next year!

Great facilities games room, table tennis, table football, air hockey and lovely pool. Also the staff were great: friendly and helpful. Ideal if you’re on your own, in a couple or great for a family. Lovely cottage but a nightmare trying to find it. Ended up arriving at 6pm. Lighting was poor and I struggled to find my cottage. Electricity fuse went possibly due to the Christmas tree making the lights fuse. This was easily rectified by not turning the Christmas lights on. Sadly the owners wasn’t keen to come over to initially but once I insisted they did. The cottage it’s self was beautiful and you have everything you need although I think it’s very cheeky to ask you to strip the beds, wash the pots and put them away as well as empty the bins. The cottage is in beautiful gardens with an amazing spa. The cleaning and other staff were lovely and very friendly.

I booked Tansy cottage for a short stay with my elderly mum. The cottage itself was absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail by the owners / staff is second to none. There was everything that we could possibly have wanted provided for a self-catering accommodation as well as a welcome gift of coffee, Welsh cakes, jam, hot chocolate, etc. Having read the reviews, the cottages cater well to families but we chose to go during school term and it paid off as it was really quiet which suited us perfectly. In addition, everything other reviews say is true, the place is amazing and everything has been thought of. The pool and hot tubs are wonderful additions, and there are many, many places to visit within an hour's drive. Honestly, we couldn't find anything we didn't like, so much so we stayed on an extra night!
