After seeing the main building and rooms online, we booked for a weekend away. Upon arrival we were shown to our room which could only be described as going to butlins about 20 years ago. It was outdated and small. When we enquirer about dinner we were told we would have to eat in the bar due to a large... More

The b&b is in a residential part of Brecon, just over a mile from the twon centre and it is split between the main house and other buildings, if in the main house, then the place looks fine but the outbuilding that I stayed in was very dated, basic and ugly! For £85 I would have expected better, no Wi... More

Nythfa House is a short distance from Brecon town centre. It has an imposing appearance as you approach passing the lawned well kept gardens. You are directed around the back and enter through a characterless corridor - not the grand reception you might expect. I soon relealised this is more hostel than hotel, owned and run by the members of... More

Nythfa House is owned and run by HF Holidays-stands for Holiday Fellowship- and is geared to walkers who go out each day and walk the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. It is informal and friendly but not a traditional hotel format. They do everything very well-food is excellent. The rooms are comfortable. It represents very good value for money. It... More

Booked through Laterooms and on arrival were told that they didn't have reservation for us. On checking it appears they had us booked in 3 days later. Luckily we'd taken our confirmation from Laterooms. Our room was ready in 5 - 10mins, and was very clean, tidy and well decorated - and warm !! Hotel was quiet, think there was... More

Just spent two nights at this fantstic hotel. Our room was large with lovely views of the garden and mountains in the background.Spotlessly clean, comfy beds with plenty of pillows. The breakfast was superb and so much of it,set us up for the day and Richard (the owner) gave me bread to feed the ducks on the canal, he's so friendly... More

Just been to Nythfa House Hotel for High Tea. Sat in the conservatory and though it was a wet cold day outside it felt cosy inside. The food was fantastic, and much more than I expected with a varitey of delicate sandwiches, cakes, tarts and pastry. Chris the chef ... best beef sandwiches I have tasted in a long time,... More
