Nice hotel with comfy leather seating, great wine list, excellent food, accepts dogs, only disappointment was paying over hundred pounds for a small room when we could have had the more expensive four poster for just over £70 if we'd booked via laterooms. more

My partner and I stayed at the Felin Fach on a Thursday and Friday night in October - and it totally met (high) expectations. Although just off a main road, we never noticed it at all once inside - greeted by a warm fire in the bar area - and a lovely touch of having complimentary cafetiere of coffee or... more

We really enjoyed our mini-break here, and especially appreciated its laid-back atmosphere. we loved the fact that it's not one of those B&Bs dripping in chintz and tea room fussiness. The food was delicious, the couches formidably slouchy and the surrounding area lush and relaxing. Just a few glitches: 1) We were forewarned about busy noise from the kitchen (we... more

they upgraded us to a 4 poster (room 3) I though that was nice until you realise its over the kitchen so noisy until late and then noisy early as they all come to work, turn on radio, start bashing and clattering. Hotel accepts dogs so carpet good for dogs but not my feet and lots of mysterious round light... more

Spent 2 nights at the Griffin and combined it with the Brecon Jazz Festival and walking and cycling in the Brecon Beacons. Good location for touring. Very comfortable rooms although the water system was a little unpredictable. Staff friendly and accommodating and above average cooking - slightly on the pricy side but worth it due to the good quality. Overpriced... more

We arrived and were finally greeted by someone: and then promptly had a sleep in the very comfortable bed! The rooms are pleasant but cosy although there was nowhere to put the suitcase and the overall tone was warm and welcoming. The evening meal was great - but incredibly overpriced. There is a comment that they do not look to... more

We stayed for one Sunday night at the Griffin in Brecon as we were meeting friends at The Brecon Jazz Festival then driving the scenic route to Aberystwyth.for a three night stay. We arrived in time for a Sunday Roast Lunch so after being shown to our extremely comfortable room, with a view of small polytunnels from the windows and... more

We stayed for one night, rooms tired, and very small, no tv (because the manager does not like tv) thought customers should come first, the evening meal very bland and over expensive, but worst of all was the next morning everyone has to sit around one table, very awkward, I dont want to share my breakfast with a load of... more

We booked our break at the Felin Fach for our wedding anniversary after reading several rave reviews about the pub. Closer to our visit we became apprehensive due to some of the mixed (mostly negative) reviews on Tripadvisor. However, we must say that the Felin Fach was a lovely break. The food was very good, the breakfast very relaxed and... more

We stayed with our 10 month old daughter and were disappointed with the Griffin. The literature in the rooms appears to indicate some flexibility with breakfast times (ie that it will be served between 8 and 10am) and wrongly states that the breakfast table is laid from 7.45am for cold breakfasts. However, before we went up to our room each... more
