This place is wonderful. Great staff, perfect location, and a BEAUTIFUL building! This place truly made my stay in Cardiff all the better! It made me wish I had more time to stay longer! We turned up a bit early and there was not an issue for them to watch our bags while we explored the city!

If you are travelling on a budget and going to Cardiff, you MUST stay at the River House. The owners are friendly and helpful, they were more than happy to direct us to the closest gay pub for a drag night and karaoke evening (the best fun I’d had in ages!!!) and they helped us out with travel info aswell.... When I arrived I was shown all the facilities. The room and bathrooms were very clean. The breakfast was amazing. Very well located and central. The staff members were very friendly. I would definitely return.

The weather was really lovely when me and my friend were there. Room and bathroom were quite clean. The host and hostess were very friendly. Breakfast, loved it! Also we were offered dinner with pasta. It is not expensive to share a room with another 3 people. A nice day out and night in were pretty good! Impressed!

Everything you could ever hope for in a hostel bar a bar. But there's plenty of those a stones throw away. Beautiful rooms, Lounge room with dvd selection, incredible breakfast every morning and staff who are both friendly and attractive. Not the most central (its pretty damn close though) or the cheapest, but definitely worth it
