My husband and I found Acorn Lodge to be wonderful, our room was spacious and immaculately clean - everything about our experience was good. The hostess Beti was kind and accommodating even when we arrived well after 9:30 pm on a Friday night. Acorn is literally a stones throw away from the Millenium stadium so a great base to explore... more

this is a very good and quiet place, it is 20 min walk from the centre , through a beautiful park very clean rooms, good food, nice peaple and good price more

We booked late so we didnt expect anything too special, but we found Acorn Lodge particually comfortable, easy going and friendly. The continental breakfast in the morning was very filling and we would certainly stay again. more

stay here for a weekend and had a great time , (ken & bet} the owners are really lovely & helpfull people, made us feel home from home, nice clean & comfortable rooms . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, ALAN PARSONS more

I wouldn't recommend stay here as Cardiff has many place to stay. Room was clean except carpet and found little dead spider on the bed.. Shower water was very poor pressure which took an ages to take a shower and wash hair. Breakfast was ok with lots of cerials , cheese, friuts but I would go to the other B&B... more

stayed here for the football international - very welcoming. The place is a brisk 30 minute walk from the train station - 25 mins from the centre of town. Room was on the top floor and was very clean - recently decorated. Excellent power shower and good bathroom. Breakfast was very good despite not being a 'cooked breakfast' - plenty... more

We stayed at the Acorn Lodge in early June 2006. It’s located about 2-3km from the centre of Cardiff. Generally speaking the place is a bit run down – our room was tidy but tired. A bit spartan as well. I can’t actually believe the previous comments as they seem to be talking about somewhere completely different to the place... more

Stayed here on International weekend! Had a fantastic welcome from Bet & Ken (and cassy). We had a great time, cosy rooms, great company. Would recommend to anyone. more

I cannot say enough good things about the Acorn Lodge. I was amazed by the kindness I was shown, and I found the entire experience to be a delight. My hostess, Bet, treated me better than I ever would have imagined possible. She actually drove me to St. Fagan's one morning so I wouldn't have to figure out the buses,... more
