We needed flexible accommodation in Cardiff for the wedding of our daughter. We live>150 miles away and a 'neutral' base local to the event was essential. We looked at many places in the city but this was by far the best. The Lincoln House has, on the top floor, a great suite of rooms: 2 beds, open plan lounge,... more

We stayed at the Lincoln House Hotel for a long weekend in Cardiff visiting my sister at the University from the 23rd – 25th January 2008. We were in two different rooms, one single room, and a double room. We found the rooms adequate for what we needed, but the décor was very old fashioned, almost as if we were... more

The hotel is fine - comfy clean rooms, easy walking distance of the town centre, and car parking available. We were not that impressed when booking - we enquired and booked via email but decided to phone with our credit card details. The person who took the phone call, who said he was 'the proprietor', refused to provide us with... more

Very friendly and helpful staff, my wife has a food allergy ie- Gluten free. The staff did everything to accommodate. the Hotel has a very warm and cosy feel about the place, and a nice 10 - 15 minute walk through a lovely park to Cardiff City Centre. Would not hesitate to come back again. more

Lovely family run guest house. Easy to find from motorway. From the moment we arrived we were met with friendliness and courtesy. We arrived late but this was not a problem, there's a lovely small bar which was readily opened. The rooms were tastefully furnished & CLEAN. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and cooked to order. We were... more

We made a visit to Cardiff for the Rugby League Millenium Magic Event The hotel is a family run business, the staff were courteous and friendly for the first phone call we made to the second we left. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The food fresh, well prepared and presented, portions are ample. The hotel is very... more

Our initial expectations, after viewing the web site, were upheld as we arrived in rain soaked Cardiff, the hotel looked very beautiful with its light 'sandstone' fasard. We received a reasonable welcome; the last hotel in Wales we stayed at, we were taken to our room, shown all the facilities and made a hot drink no such service here, just... more

We booked at the Lincoln as a second choice after the Beaufort wouldn't offer just one night at the weekend, something I find really annoying. The girl who took the booking was excellent, eager to help. Then a day before we had a phone call to ask us if we would like a complimentary upgrade (of course!). We are very... more

We stayed over Easter weekend from Friday to Monday as we were in Cardiff for the Calzaghe fight. The hotel is a lovely Victorian building sympathetically converted with small but good sized rooms with EnSuite. We had a slight problem on the first night when the night was disturbed by a loud hummingthat came from a duct between rooms but... more
