This is one of the best guesthouses that I have ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable , beautiful house and style and very welcoming. The location is perfect for visiting Cardiff and I enjoyed my stay enormously. The host and hostess Charles and Paula were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and set me up for the day. Would definitely recommend it as a taste of luxury but with... more

Service at this B&B was very professional. The girls were very helpful and polite. The room and house was spotless. Access to parking is always a problem in this area of Cardiff, (which is not the fault of the proprietors) but there is ample parking to the rear of the building. We have stayed at many B&Bs on this road but this is the best by far, so we will definitely be staying there again. more

We were greeted by our host at the door and were made to feel quite welcome from then on. The room as very nice and most importantly, clean. The castle is only a 10 minute walk as is city center shopping. We had one of our best meals of our trip at the Beverly Hotel/Pub just across the street. more

After staying at the Beaufort Guest House opposite this B&B was disappointing in comparison. The decor and rooms were very dated. The bed cover looked ancient and worn, there were stains on the sheets, the wifi didn't work and the breakfast wasn't that great. Maybe i just got a duff room because i was on my own. I would only stay here again if i couldn't get in at Beaufort. more

Spent 4 fabulous days at The Town House. Room was lovely and had everything we needed. The cleanliness was superb throughout the whole house. Breakfast was tasty, hot and all freshly cooked, even served on hot plates which really does make a difference, some places just don't bother. Our hosts were very helpful and most welcoming. They made sure we saw everything with ease. Erika the housekeeper/ waitress was very friendly and good fun. Will... more

We have just returned from a very pleasant 3 day stay at The Town House in Cardiff. We were made to feel extremely welcome, the rooms were very comfortable and the standard of cleanliness throughout was to a very high standard. Breakfast was lovely, filling and kept us going well into the day. It was wonderful to be able to park the car up, forget about it, and walk to the City Centre. Everything we... more

Well, where do we start. We have just had the most memorable long weekend at The Town House. We could not fault anything, apart from the fact that we managed to put on a few extra pounds due to the wonderful breakfasts that are served here. The food, the service, the cleanliness was great. Charles & Paula you do a great job. Your home really is lovely, calm, peaceful and relaxing. My girlfriend and I... more

I have never felt the need to review a hotel before, but our experience here did not match the reviews sadly. We stayed for two nights for Christmas shopping at the Town House, bedroom ok - spacious enough - and the lounge is lovely with two tables for breakfast - one big communal one and a smaller one. Hosts were welcoming, although we only met Charles on arrival and saw no-one again bar the waitress.... more

Over the years, my husband and I have stayed in many Welsh and English B & B's (both good and bad), and I believe our standards are quite high regarding what would be considered an "excellent" experience. I can say that The Town House was indeed excellent!! We had a huge room, extremely clean and well-appointed, with a very comfortable bed. Our middle-floor location gave us the extra bonus of high ceilings (one look at... more
