I stayed here for one night on business in October 2009. The hotel is fairly typical Marriott fayre with large modern rooms, everything functional and a big bathroom to match. The receptionist (from Norwich, but didn't catch his name) was very friendly indeed and deserves a special mention. I ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotels main restaurant. Food... more

Chose to stay in the Marriott due to its central location and wasn't disappointed. Only 30 seconds from the new shopping centre (with a brand new John Lewis department store that’s huge and fantastic) and there is plenty of choice of restaurants within a few minutes walk. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and the usual range of facilities. There are... more

I booked the Marriott the night before we were due to travel, it was second choice as my first was fully booked, at the time I would have prefered to stay in the Bay Area. However, I cannot fault this hotel, it was clean, the staff helpful and friendly, the location was superb - so central to nightlife, shops and... more

I stayed here for the weekend a few years ago, and recently booked for a 2 night stay, the rate was very reasonable and the hotel has gone under a refurbishment-wow the change is a positive one and the new bar area is great for business people and people who are here for the week-end . Food is more than... more

Recently stayed at the Cardiff Marriott with our twin babies. The hotel could not do enough for us and let us check in early as my husband was working in the area. Given an executive room, nice and clean but furnishings decor very outdated and 90's. TV with a large back! Hotel close to all shopping, bars etc. As per... more

Stayed one night here. Very convenient from Cardiff Central station. You can see the Marriott logo as you leave the station, always handy when in a strange town! On arrival, they seemed to have no record of my Marriott number or my room requests. Got a room on the 10th (top) floor though no upgrade for being a Gold, possibly... more

Fantastic location in city centre with very convenient interconnecting rooms. Parking very secure (did cost £12 for 24 hrs) but as we were parked on the third floor it was a major nuisance that the lift was out of order - not a good first impression. Rooms very comfy and quiet - 10th floor is a good place for families!... more

Just returned from a long weekend in the Cardiff Marriot. Cardiff airport is 40 minutes from city centre taxi cost £24 or X91 bus cost £3.40 each way. Cardiff Bay is a 20 minute walk with the bus costing £1.20 approx return. This hotel is right in the city centre and as far as Central is concerned it doesnt come... more

Good Points: In the heart of town, nice bar and foyer, good leisure club with well equipped gym and lovely 16m pool, rooms very clean and well insulated from noisy street outside, staff very well trained, courteous and helpful. Reasons we will never stay here again: Poor value for money - room was really too small to be classed as... more
