Not sure this hotel deserves the star that it holds.. had to call them twice about air conditioning and they didnt offer to move me. Room hot and stuffy.Good location for cardiff and freindly reception staff and gym instructor! more

Originally chose this hotel due to it's great rating on here and suitable parking near by. The fact we managed to get a great deal through their website was a bonus. One thing, if your travelling with young children I seriously recommend you ask for a room that is NOT on the front of the hotel, unless you want to... more

I spent four nights in this hotel, and if I come back will stay again. I will also eat all of my meals here unless I'm invited out! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost every day, and not once was I disappointed. My own personal Dalek and a ticket to the Doctor Who Experience added to the delight. The staff were... more

Stayed here for Bank Holiday Weekend in May. Plan was to sightsee through the day and we wanted to be central for the evening. We couldn't have been more central - right opposite a really lively section of bars which stayed open well into the early hours. We had a room overlooking the street (1st floor) but we didn't get... more

Check in as usual very efficient. had a lovely two... more

Excellent position, though downside is the noise of drunks and police cars keeping you awake throughout the night....not helped by the pillows which were puffy on the edges, and wafer thin in the middle. Lovely hotel with extremely pleasant staff, although extremely slow drink service in the resaurant (ordered 1st drink when arrived and it arrived after starter, and ordered... more

Reception efficient and effective. The structure is a converted office block – now a rather soulless, warehouse-like-structure. Dizzyingly high ceilings dictate an austere décor carried through to all details. Although “fully air conditioned” it was warm and sticky and room controls seemed irrelevant, having no effect. Waiting staff are a pretty indifferent bunch and food no more than average. Conference... more

We booked a Superior Room for a long weekend in March. The hotel is just off of the main shopping street and easy walking distance from any attractions e.g. Cardiff Castle and the train station. You are greeted by welcoming reception staff and its very easy and quick to check in. They also reserve a table in their restaurant if... more

Stayed here with my wife for a weekend in early May 2009. The Park Plaza is modern, stylish and very comfortable. The lobby contains plenty of seating and, with its unusual gas fires, makes for a good meeting place. Our standard bedroom was large and airy, with a huge double bed. It was at the rear of the hotel :... more
