A friend and I stayed at this hotel a few days ago for my 30th birthday. There were 2 main reasons why we chose the Park Plaza. The first being that I had read so many great reviews on here and the second is because I had previously stayed at the Victoria Park Plaza in London and had an excellent... more

Value for money...clean, classy and quality throughout. The Park Plaza is ideally located and serves up a great breakfast. This is the second time I have stayed at this property this year and i can honestly say enjoyed both times. Highly recommended for Business and Holiday travelers. more

Spotless, well equiped room with very comfortable bed. Modern bathroom with wonderful shower and good quality toiletries provided. All staff were efficient and happy to help but a special mention has to be made of the restaurant staff - superb! We had a fantastic meal for a more than reasonable price and the service was faultless. If we stay in... more

Stayed here two nights whilst at a conference at Cardiff University. First impressions: Pretty grim street but hotel lobby very nice. Check-in staff just ok- not very friendly and didn't give any info on how to use the spa facilities, breakfast tiimes etc. I asked for a room on the park side but was given a room on the street... more

I stayed here 2 nights on a recommendation. It was central, and clean, and the room was a good size. So all the basics were ok. But to charge £130 per night seemed delusional. To sustain the price they need to sharpen their act. The check-in person was abrupt. I had all the paperwork and after a long drive to... more

We stayed here for the half-marathon. The location is great - right in the centre. But therein lays the problem, especially the front of the hotel. It faces a number of clubs and bars. These close around 2am. Despite the triple glazing, you will hear the thumping music, the glasses breaking, the police sirens and then at round 6am, you... more

I like this hotel for a number of reasons - its airy spaciousness, its attention to detail, the quality of staff (particularly the lady maitre d' who welcomed us to breakfast - I hope someone tells her just how good she is) and for its position. Restaurant and bar food were of excellent quality and quickly delivered. BUT, I have... more

The Cardiff Park Plaza is rated a four star hotel but it must be pretty close to nudging five stars. The hotel has a luxury feel with tasteful decor and quality service. The hotel is located a short walk from the main shopping centre as well as Cardiff Castle. It’s actually opposite a number of well frequented night clubs but... more
