I use this place when ever I book a night out in Cardiff. It's not the sort of place for a romantic night, it's run down and a little squalid. However, it's only £22 a night single and £45 a night Breakfast. is included. As is free parking in the hotel grounds. It's only a £5 cab fare into the... more

We stayed on 22.08.09 Don’t stay here under any circumstances! Honestly, it is a disgusting, filthy, run down hovel which looked like the type of place used as temporary accommodation for the homeless. I usually try to find some good in situations but the only positive thing I can say about this flea pit is that it is only a... more

We stayed at the Blue Dragon (to call it a hotel is a bit of a stretch) as part of a U2 concert and hotel package. This place was allocated and not chosen by us. I read the reviews of the establishment before setting off and must admit had a bit of a laugh at them. We were quite prepared... more

There were stains on the carpet, radiator, ceiling(don't ask) and the walls. I wore my shoes the whole time, even after stepping out of the shower!! There was holes in... more

Quite by far the worst hotel I have ever visited. Arrived in the car park 12pm Saturday, first impressions were not good. I felt as if I was driving into war zone, the car park was not maintained had no security at all. Walked into the hotel and the first thing that I noticed was the smell, damp, dusty, not... more

I stayed at this hovel for one night when we were in Cardiff to see Madonna kick off her world tour. We drove into the car park and pretty much drove straight back out again in search for somewhere that looked a bit more hospitable. There was litter all over the front 'garden', graffiti covering the side wall, a huge... more

We went to see Madonna on Saturday in Cardiff and were meant to be staying with a friend of a friend, but unfortunately they cancelled last minute. As a gesture of goodwill, they booked us into this hotel as it was probably the only one that had rooms left. We soon realised why... Driving along the Newport Road past all... more
