Stayed hre for one night while attending concert at Millenium Stadium. Because of this event all the hotels had doubled their prices for the night, &when we booked this was the only hotel left within walking distance of the stadium that had rooms, & they had put up their prices from £75 to £150 for b&b. (or could have gone... more

I stayed here for a course in late may 2008. The hotel is located about 10 - 15 minutes walk to the cardiff central station. Also quite close to the cardiff bay area which is quite pleasant. The hotel itself is in an industrial area. My initial impression for a 55 £ double bed room was that it was very... more

Booked by work in here at the last minute. It's on an industrial estate with nothing close by. When I checked at 7.30 pm I was not informed the air con was not working. I had to leave immediately on business but put on the air con and I returned at 9.00 pm. The room temp was 31.5 degrees, windows... more

We stayed here for my hen weekend and we loved the hotel and would definetely go back. At first we were a bit worried when we walked from the station - roundabout is a death trap to cross but for the rest of the stay we just caught taxis everywhere. All staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us.... more

I stayed here for work and had several complaints about it. I don't normally stay in particularly classy hotels for work but this one was much worse than a usual travel lodge type place and I certainly would never spend any of my own money on staying here. Firstly it was in a terrible location - not very near to... more

I stayed in this hotel for one night after watching the Wales-Scotland 6 nations game. The hotel itself is in a light industrial/commercial area between Cardiff City Centre and Cardiff Bay. It is quite easy to find from the city centre and about 15 minutes walk from Cardiff Central train station, but isn't in the best location if you arrive... more

We stayed here for one night without breakfast. Our room was spacious with two double beds, a good bathroom and powerful shower. Everything seemed spotlessly clean. The room was air conditioned with flat screen TV and safe (although the safe in our room was broken). Located alongside a main road junction, car showroom and industrial units but quiet at night... more

My family and I had to find somewhere to spend a single night in Cardiff and thought we'd found real value for money as we booked through a late rooms website and got the rooms for £60 each. Had I been asked to pay the full £150 I would have felt ripped off! The hotel was a little hard to... more

The Lodge is a modern, simple hotel. If you don't expect anything too fancy, this hotel will suit. Our rooms were a good size and both clean and comfortable. There were tea making facilities. When we converted the nightly rate to euros, it was expensive for a 3 star hotel. However, we stayed the weekend of the Police concert and... more
