Looking for a place to stay whilst visiting family in Taffs Well on the pretty, rural outskirts of Cardiff. My sister-in-law found the name of this place, but knew no more about it. We decided to give it a go and were very favourably impressed. Comfortable, en-suite rooms, with flat-screen tv monitor on the wall (how many posh hotels would give you that?), superb breakfasts (in my husband's words, 'the best cooked breakfast I've ever eaten', child-friendly, quiet, central in the village and very welcoming and friendly. At £45 per room it compared favourably with hotel prices and could not have been bettered by most 4 star hotels I've stayed at. Was just opening for business, so very spick and span (just a few areas where obviously still to finish, but didn't detract in any way from overall impression) but the owner told us he'd previously run the village's other b&b, so professionally run and managed.
