The bedrooms are dated and a little worn around the edges. It does need a revamp and I can't see how this will be done in time for the Ryder Cup. The Celtic Manor was quite lovely and the resort is modern in design with large rooms and baths. The golf course is lovely and the Ryder Cup will be held there next year. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet included in our room. We were disappointed in the dinner at the golf clubhouse. Not very creative and a bit dull.... more

I attended this hotel for a Conference and Awards Dinner with colleagues. The hotel is huge and they handled our 3 day, 1500 delegate event very smoothly. The best things about the hotel are the valet parking/concierge guys and that wi-fi is free. That is pretty much it. While it is certainly a large hotel, there is nothing else about it. It claims to be a five star resort-I have stays in better 3star hotels.
