We recently celebrated our Wedding at the Lodge, all the staff were more than accomadating throughtout the weekend, we were made welcome from the moment we walked in until the minute we left. Everything was set to the highest of standards anyone could possibly expect, and food was fantastic from Breakfast to the Wedding Menu to the evening buffet we... more

Located just off the M4 motorway in a residential area in the northern outskirts of Newport, the Newport Lodge Hotel is far better than its deeply unexciting Travelodge-esque frontage might lead you to believe. It's easy to get to by car but, I suspect, a little more difficult by public transport. In my experience the staff were pleasant and helpful,... more

I stayed in the Newport Lodge Hotel for 2 month and was always made to feel welcome. The hotel offers a fantastic range of rooms from Executive doubles to sweet bright single rooms. I stayed in a single room over looking the motorway which did not disturb me at all as the windows are so thick. The hotel is just... more

I stayed at the Newport Lodge for two nights. The hotel is located out of the centre of Newport, next to the M4, so it's perfect as a 'basecamp' for work in various places around Newport. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. (English) breakfast is perfect, and diner in the evening is also very good. The rooms... more

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in July and I just had to write about the service and the management. We were over from Ireland on a short break and I must say I can,t praise it enough. The manageress, Margaret, went out of her way to make us welcome! And the breakfast was superb, she even... more

Stayed here for two weeks. The standard of food was excellent and the staff were very helpful-at one point I saw the manager offer to drive some poor late checker-in down to the local Indian. My room had a view of the M4 but I cant complain about that as it's obvious that this hotel is located next to the... more

We stayed at the Newport Lodge for one night. I asked for a quiet room when booking on-line and was delighted with the result. Our room was comfortable and clean with a very comfy bed. (Four poster as it happens) We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants friendly attentive staff and easy access to Newport and its surrounds. more

We stayed at this hotel in June 2002, we had our wedding reception here. The food was excellent, and the hote really made a fuss of us. The honeymoon suite was remarkable with a stunning 4 poster bed. Rooms were clean and tidy, and the hotel staff were very friendly, and made us felt like we were V.I.P's. Would definately... more
