The service here is quite poor and meals are totally lacking. The adjioining house is student accomodation so beware of noise and loud music. The booking was smooth and we only stayed the one night noving to a national chain for the remainder of our business trip. more

Cefn Bryn was a nice clean and friendly guest house. My family and I enjoyed our week here and in the city of Swansea. So many sites and places to visit. The rooms were well worth the money and so close to the town which was ideal for me to go shopping. We will definately book again at Cefn Bryn... more

I had stayed here before about 4 years ago, and at the time it was a nice enough little guesthouse...Unfortunately a change in management has completely changed that! The website for the Cefn Bryn is a complete work of fiction - don't be fooled by it! On their webpages it looks clean, modern and welcoming...On arrival we discovered it was... more

Management response from
CefnBryn, NEW OWNER / MANAGER

Cefn Bryn has been taken over by a new owner and manager since January 2007 who will most definately fix up a fantastically located and potentially promising hotel. The new owner will drive customer satisfaction and will pick up the business from it's previous owners and have nothing but positive reviews from new and exisiting clients. We look forward in...

Most expensive guest house I have ever stayed in. Also the worse. Poor standard of cleanness. Previous guest stuff (like odd shoe, etc) still in wardrobe. Poor quality breakfast, which kept being delayed. In fact, I have trouble saying anything nice about this place.... more

I recently made a booking with the Cefn Bryn and ended up dealing with a multitude of problems with the place. When we complained the owner sent us quite a scary abusive e-mail. The place itself is nice but its not worth it for the hassle of dealing with how badly run it is. I've used the Grosvenor House and... more

This has to be just about the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The level of service delivered by the staff was shockingly poor, and the owner was downright rude. Customer service is clearly not a concept that the Cefn Bryn is familiar with. A good hotel is more than just attractive rooms, and quite honestly, there are... more

The Cefn Bryn is Fantastic. It has a brand new owner called Aidan, i think. He is so fantastic, will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. They have a great breakfast, excellent rooms they are refurbishing and excellent rates for the area. I am a regular and love visiting them now as a friend as well as a... more

I stayed there in 2002. Enthusiastic new proprietors installing new furnishings to update hotel. Living Room is interesting showing personal souvenirs of his International Travel. Very large breakfast continental and nicely cooked. Parking on street only. At the time, steps only to garden and entrance(disabled should check with hotel prior to booking) more
