The reviewer who didn't book in missed a treat. [And must have a weird idea of what constitutes a slum!] Don't follow that lead - you will not be disappointed. The owners are very friendly; and, as another reviewer experienced, invited our daughter to join us for breakfast. The rooms are individually themed and decorated, perhaps a little 'quirky', and... more

We stayed at the "Mirador", after settling our daughter into Swansea University. The rooms are lovely all differently themed and very comfortable with lots of extras to make your stay even more pleasant. The breakfast was superb, plenty of it including fresh fruit, yourgurts and every cereal you could think of!! Thats before the fryup!! The friedly owners even invited... more

It is an extremely welcoming guest house, whatever you need will be organised. The breakfast is wonderful and you can choose exactly what you want to have for cooked breakfast. The rooms are clean, comfy and individually themed, which gives them a special atmosphere. The location is quite central, within easy walking distance to St Helen's Road, where many of... more

The manager was very friendly and helpful. The room was great and i chose the African themed room which was nice to have something different. I arrived late and left early but the atmosphere was welcoming and homely and i wish i could have stayed for breakfast the next day as he was very encouraging in making sure i had... more

This is a real find. We stayed in Room 7, the French style room. I had wanted the room with the pyramids but the terrace carried the day. It is not a particularly large room if you are using your typical 4-star hotel as a yardstick, but it is spotless, beautiful, very comfortable and well equipped. Attentive, kind but not... more

My wife and I went to Swansea to catch a concert in a great little place just around the corner from the Mirador. I searched for a hotel in the area and came up with the Mirador. Then I checked out Trip Adviser and Late Rooms for people's views. I have never seen as many GREAT reviews for a place... more

We had a great time at the Mirador. Swansea was just a stopping point for us on our way up to north Wales, so we were only there for one night. My husband and I had the Roman Retreat room and our friend was in the Mediterranean Garden. Both rooms were lovely and quirky in the best sense, with the... more

Was thinking of cancelling my business trip as wasn't feeling great - but so glad I didn't. Phil called me on my long trip from London to see that I was ok. Stayed two nights and could have stayed longer in my lovely comfy room and felt very spoilt my the lovely breakfast each morning. Would recommend to anyone and... more

We have stayed on two occasions in the last two weeks and had a lovely time here! Probably the most comfortable and relaxed B and B we have experienced. Really nice to have some chilled music playing in the dining room over breakfast-can't bear to sit in silence listening to everyone munching toast and whispering self consciously which is our... more
