Well constructed website ensured we were able to contact and confirm our booking at the Old Stables with ease. We received a friendly and informative welcome by the owners Layton and Margaret. The accomodation is a high standard conversion which has been well planned, executed and furnished. It is well maintained and very clean and tidy. Being a local, Layton is informative and helpful with advice for his guests without being overbearing. The breakfast is served in a comfortable and well suited breakfast room which allows guests to chat informally over their meal. The food is excellent and the service faultless with a wide range of breakfast options available and cooked freshly by Margaret (a thoughtful touch is that the breakfast menu is also available in the major European languages). I thoroughly recommend the old stables for a short or longer holiday stay, it is ideally placed for exploring the Gower and a wonderful base to work from. more
