We booked this B&B solely from the comments on this website: we were not mislead! Alice met us at the door with a warm welcome, took us to our room and gave us excellent guidance for getting around in Belfast. Our room was large and overlooked the residential avenue out front that proved to be quiet at night. The bed... more

My husband, adult daughter and I all enjoyed our stay at Avenue House very much. The house is beautiful and our triple room was wonderful ! Everything was immaculate and great attention was given to making the room as comfortable as it was lovely. It is located on a quiet, tree-lined street which is convenient to several restaurants a block... more

We arrived late, and were met by the owner, Stephen, who showed us to our room, explained the local sites/restaurants and bus system, and provided us with multiple pamphlets/brochures about the city. The room was bright and clean and large (front room, top floor) and we awoke to the smell of breakfast. Alice, Stephen's wife, was very efficient and accommodating... more

After reading other comments I booked for 3 nights and this guest house did not disappoint. The rooms are spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. The breakfast was delicious and well presented. It is close to Lisburn Road and buses run frequently. We walked or should I say strolled it took 30mins to City Hall. It is situated... more

Our first visit to Northern Ireland and we had a lovely welcome in Belfast from Alice - great position for sightseeing Belfast - buses run nearby to centre regularly - lots of information provided by Alice and very helpful on local information. Lovely botanic gardens nearby and lots of bars/restaurants near the university. Bedroom very comfy and delicious breakfast provided... more

We felt totally at home here - Alice and Stephen are very nice and clearly work hard to maintain high standards. They are also very good at providing information about trips to take and where to go in the local area. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom had a great shower - it was really helpful that they... more

With a comforatble bed , excellent suggestions from our hosts in Belfasts varied dining cuisine, we ventured into this city with lots of character. We were given the best advice on touring Belfast via a priviate taxi. We found this B&B to be situated in a very safe part of Belfast and our only regret was not being able to... more

Alice and Stephen made us feel right at home. We loved touring the city and suggest that all should include northern Ireland in their travel plans. The room was a large one overlooking the avenue. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and our stay at this B&B. more

I stayed at this B&B while doing research at PRONI (Public Records Office of Northern Ireland). It is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, B&B's I've ever stayed in. I had one of the two rooms on the top floor - with a view toward the back - which suited me just fine - quieter that way. The... more
