I've stayed in Arnie's for over two weeks couple of years ago and one night recently. Arnie is a nice guy but he treats the hostel as his property and often doesn't give a damn about his customers. He also rents rooms in his other house for longer period for summer adventure seekers. He deliberately chooses internationals who will not... More

A cozy little hostal, with friendly staff and just enough room for everyone. The free breakfast is amazing! And if you don't like dogs, avoid this place because the owner usually brings his by (which are incredibly friendly!) I would stay here again

By far one of the best hostels in Belfast! You feel at home the minute you walk in the door. The staff and Arnie do everything they can to make sure your stay is great. The hostel is also one of the warmest thanks to the roaring coal fires. Great location close to the city centre, Europa bus station, and... More

On my first visit to Belfast I was looking for a cheap but nice place to stay. Unfortunately Arnie´s wasn´t really living up to my expectations. I stayed at a mixed 4 bedroom for 12 € per night which was fair enough but... the beds were a nightmare, old and smelly. I needed to help my friend to climb onto... More

My first experience of hostel life. Staff very helpful. Owner very laid back. Good mix of people from all over the world. Amenities good. Washing service efficient. Great Coal fires everyday. Nice atmosphere. Really is a good place to rest up on travels. Excellent booking service for cab tours. Staff work hard keeping the place clean. Would highly recommend Arnie's... More

I dont like giving bad feedback, so I will start off with the good things about Arnie's: the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere - as mentioned below- IS very cosy. i thought the price (appr. €12 per night in a mixed 4-bedroom) was fair enough. the location in Belfast is okay. however, the beds were terrible and old.... The first impression was good: cosy little hostel, friendly staff. But the rooms are definetely too small. And when i booked a 4bed dorm i don't want 5 people staying there! The owner and the staff where having fun downstairs until two am, even though there are signs everywhere that tell you to keep quiet at night. The windows in... More

I've been traveling for some time now between hostels but I never had so much fun and felt so at home till I got to Arnie's backpackers! The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the entire home was welcoming and inviting and Arnie himself is the best guy you'll meet! When he asked me if I... More

The hostel is in a good position, near the University and 15 minutes by walking to the city centre; Arnie and Coco are nice and friendly, but the hostel is not that good: extremely small, not confortable and not so clean, just two toilets and two showers (for reaching one, you have to cross the kitchen, WTF); we were 9...
