absolute joke of a place. room is like a prison cell. was shown a bathroom in our room in the picture but obviously was a catfish picture. the communal bathrooms are vile spiders everywhere and mold and half the showers don’t even work. only 3 bathrooms in the place? the windows are open at the bottom and don’t shut so it’s freezing all night and you can hear everything outside sound like your laying outside. would not recommend this to anyone. one socket per room. nothing in the room but a bed and a sink? no tv no kettle nothing. hard to sleep with all the noise and music that the other guests were making. not even worth the cheap price that it is.

While stuck in Belfast I made a last minute booking for a room, the room was reasonable value and the location was exactly where I needed to be for work. The property seems to take a lot of young travellers in groups and they all seem very happy. I was less happy - I know the property offers budget accommodation but it's reasonable to presume a property would be clean when offering rooms to the public - the building is shabby but my room and bathroom were filthy.

Stayed here with a group of friends for a concert. Had everything we needed and the lad at reception was easygoing. Good to stay if u just need a roof over your head for the night and also it’s a close walk to the city/shops/takeaway

I'll start with the positives, clean bed sheets, good location and relatively easy check in and out process. The rooms are very basic, the showers are tiny but relatively clean. The building is very old so the noise in the reception area travelled under are door and woke us very early

Good breakfast, Clean sheets as well as bathrooms and very helpful staff. It was my first experience in a hostel and I must say it was really good. The wifi coverage was great but the signal was not that great.

The staff were friendly and helpful, with Toasts and cereals for breakfast. There was no radiator visible in the room but there was an electric heater provided just in case, not that it was needed. The wifi was pretty good throughout. On street parking but the street was reasonable.

We spent one night in this Hostel (only one thank God) on a day trip organized by Paddy Wagon itself. The list of the unacceptable things would be very long so I'll be brief : - Bathrooms, rarely seen so dirty. - Linen not changed with fresh stains. - Breakfast was gone after only 15min, no bread, no milk, nothing that we could even consider eating, undrinkable fruit juice and questionable hygiene of the products served. - 2 plugs for 6 people in the rooms. - No one at the reception, the same guy for the breakfast and reception, probably for everything. Very revolting for an hostel, even more for one of the PaddyWagon's. PS: don't trust the photos on the website, they don't reflect reality at all.

This is the worst form of false advertising I've ever seen, the hotel is totally opposite to what the name suggests. Theres nothing palace like about this place, a very run down hostel. The Spanish lad working in reception was rude and arrogant. Wouldnt advice anyone to stay here. The rooms hadn't been hoovered in a long time, the bed cover were clean to be fair.

I booked to stay one night in Belfast, as it was only intended to be a bed for the night I booked the cheapest dorm, I'm glad I made that choice because in the end the £12 was for a bed for my backpack to rest on for the night. When I checked in I was given a room key, a WiFi password (it never connected) and a front door code. Tipsy me arrived back about 2am and made a mistake putting in the door code, I checked the code and tried again but for some reason it didn't work after my initial mistake. The reception was supposedly open till 4am on Friday and Saturday nights so sheepishly I rang the buzzer to be let in. No one ever came. I called my mate and ended up staying at her house. I was lucky I knew someone I could crash with in the city, because this could have been an absolute nightmare otherwise. I came back the next day to pick up my bag and check out. I didn't bother with the breakfast or go to the kuchen so I can't give a verdict on that, the toilet and shower facilities were okay, there were sanitary wrappers on the floor of one of the bathrooms but I blame that on scruffy guests, no reason to think the place isn't normally kept clean and tidy. The one other complaint I will make though is that in my mixed dorm there were two local men (they didn't seem to be together) in their 50s or 60s, it isn't a *huge* deal but I wasn't super happy about it, any other hostel I've ever stayed in has had an upper age limit to make guests comfortable and that certainly didn't make me feel comfortable. Added to that the only other guests I saw all seemed to be a lot older, so I would say the atmosphere would be far from ideal for most backpackers especially solo backpackers and even moreso for solo female backpackers. The staff checking me in and out seemed friendly but I really couldn't recommend this place and I won't be back. …

Not far from the centre (10-minute walk to the bus/railway station, 15-minute walk to the City Hall). Near the Ulster Museum and Botanical Garden, small shops and eateries in the surroundings. Fair price. Crowded rooms (too many beds in a room of 4 x 4 metres), no usable lockers, not enough toilets/showers. Could be a little cleaner, but have seen worse places. The kitchen quite big, with enough equipment I think, breakfast very basic (toast, cereals, tea or coffee) but available at 8 o´clock at the earliest (not much good if you have to be at the station at 7.45 :-(/.
