My boyfriend and I stayed there for 1 night. We drove to the hostel after it became dark, and were pleasantly surprised the next morning when we walked out of the hostel. The view from the front is amazing. We had never seen such beautiful hills and sparkling sea. Also, the location of the hostel was great. It was minutes... more

Bring your own food. (There is a large Tesco (like a Walmart) near Ballymear just south of Ballycastle.) No good restaurants in town according to others in town. You can get some expensive simple foods at one of the pubs. Great kitchen for cooking and a large TV room to relax. Staff does not expect you to check in before... more

We stayed in the "house", very pleased with rooms, kitchen large to accommodate a lot of guests. My mum(74-yold) was that pleased with the hostel she wants to... more

This is such a gorgeous little (very little) village. The Causeway rambler stops right out the front of the hostel so makes it extremly easy to get to both carrick a rede rope bridge (just up the hill) and the giants causeway (about 15 min away). the beds were sufficient and the ensuite in the room was a nice bonus... more

this hostel is a wonderful house, with a friendly and helpfull stuff and the place is great, and the price is absolutely OK!!! its like at home- we stayed for two nights- one was cold, rainy and stormy, the other was sunny, hot and wonderful weather. You can heat the living room with open fire by your own, if necessary... more

This is the first time we stayed in a hostel and would have to say that we were well pleased with what we got. The rooms were clean and tidy and had modern ensuites with a shower. The common room and kitchen was also clean and tidy, it had an open fire which we lit every night and a small... more

We were staying in the Camping Barn, and even taking into account the low price it was very disappointing. Three bunk beds crammed into a small dark room. None of the three showers were working Toilet paper was not replaced The heating was turned off - cold during the night. There was no gas for the cooker in the kitchen... more

Basic Hostel with big kitchen and living room and friendly helpful staff. Located about 5 minutes away from the Giants Causeway but within easy walking distance to the rope bridge and the Ballintoy Harbour. A few pubs and restaurants nearby, most of which serve food and some breakfast too. For the price it's a bargain! But it's best to call... more

This is a classic backpacker's hostel -- large, spartan, cheap, with a communal kitchen and a general hippie ethos. The woman working the desk was very friendly, and the kitchen access was nice (especially since, in the off-season, Ballycastle's only available restaurant food was at a single pub up the road and was TERRIBLE). Our "four-person" room was small, but... more

Arrived about 8.30pm and had to spend the entire night sitting on hard seats in the kitchen - a large group was using the living room as they were on a planning weekend away. They had a sign posted on the door "private meeting". We sat until 12.30am in the kitchen hoping to get into the living room, but to... more
