Our three night stay at the Charlemont hotel was a most enjoyable experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. The car parking at the back was so convienient and safe. The dining room staff were so pleasent, helpfull and catered for all additional breakfast requests with a smile and the warm hearted comment of "no Bother". I would say... More

What I liked most was the warm enthusiastic attention given by all staff which you would expect from a family run hotel. It has soul and character unlike many modern hotels which more than makes up for the basic but clean rooms. What works best for me is a comfortable bed, a quiet room, a powerful hot shower, on-site parking... More

WiFi is free ,very responsive, and remembers you. Car park in back is convenient but no ramp for roller suitcases. Elevator is tiny and doesn't reach second floor. Three different dining locations(pub,Turner's Bistro, and a traditional tastefully decorated dining room on the second floor which is also the breakfast room). There's a full table-service breakfast which was delicious. Be sure to... More

I am really reviewing this hotel to recommend it's fine traditional food served at lunchtime. For anyone visiting Armagh you could not get better value than at the Charlemont. It's possible to dine in the restaurant and pay a little extra (and for Sunday lunch I would recommend this); but for an everyday lunch, there is no better place than... More

I stayed at the Charlemont Arms Hotel for two weeks on a Business trip - lovely place thanks to all the staff there, including Jacky, Helen and Grace. It's a family run hotel, very comfortable rather than overly plush. What makes it special is the bar and the local people that go there. Thanks to that I think I know... More

I didn't stay in the hotel but have had a lunch there a few times. The specials which change daily are really good value and taste great. Irish stew was on the menu one time for £3.95. That would buy a sandwich in some establishments.

Came over to Ireland to visit relatives in Tullysarron so the hotel was well placed for us. We all enjoyed the breakfasts, we could vary the menu to suit us. We ate an evening meal on the second night in the bar and loved the soup with wheaten bread. The mains were good portions and enjoyable. The bar staff were... More
