The rooms are nothing like those pictured on the website, at best they are like a grotty guesthouse, and a 'triple' room is really a double room with an extra single bed shoved in where there is clearly no space for it. The bathroom was disgusting, the shower had no pressure and when I asked if we could be moved/have... more

We visited Derry on Business earlier this month and found the White Horse. Our work was at the Airport and it's only a few miles away. On arrival the nice recetpionist greeted us politely and our booking were all in the system - there were 5 of us. The staff were friendly for the 4 nights we were there. Letting... more

My husband and I traveled through Ireland 2 summers in a row. This past year we did traveled through the north. I used my Airmile points to buy a $100 voucher for a Best Western Hotel...any Best Western. So, we had stayed in some wonderful B & B's thought we might try a night in a real hotel. When we... more

I seen an advert for this hotel..Didn't have any images in mind but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The receptionist was very welcoming and chatty, there was a lovely open fire nearby and young families enjoying a glass of vino...or two! The room was very clean, slightly cold though! It was mid afternoon and I decided I'd like a... more

We felt like a last minute weekend away and decided on this hotel on the recommendation of friends. Departing on Friday evening, we arrived to find a formal was about to commence and the hotel was packed with young people dressed in their finery and loads of noise. We eventually reached reception and were assured this would not impact on... more

I recently stayed with my parnter at the Best Western White Horse Hotel on a winter special offer. I found all the staff to be very friendly and couldnt do enough for me. I could not fault the room I stayed in and they had introduced a new restaurant menu which was absolutley beautiful. My complements to the chef on... more

My 4 year old daughter didn't want vinegar on her chips as there were dead flies in it. On closer inspection, we found she was right - 3 dead floaters in the bottle in fact ! The waiter didn't even apologise - he just stuffed the bottle in his apron, and disappeared to dispose of the evidence. We asked to... more

We have stayed at the white horse for the second time and I would like to say it is one of the better hotels I have stayed in in Ireland. I would not hesitate about staying in the white horse again. The staff were wonderful, very welcoming and eager to please. The food was well above standard and the gym... more

We stayed at the White Horse for one night on a driving tour of Ireland and I was glad it wasn't longer. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere so after a long days travelling we had little choice but to eat in the hotel restaurant. We decided to order some wine and apetisers to tide us over till... more

Apologies to anyone who read my last review on this hotel 2wks ago - then we had a wonderful time, however this visit was a nightmare. We stayed 1 night - room still ok - but we had a ground floor room + what seemed like a hundred kids running mad in the corridors and outside the grounds at our... more
