The Pyne's run a very nice B&B centrally located in the center of Derry. Four blocks from the Tower Museum, it is very convenient walking to most of the sights within the walled city and the murals. We stayed on the first floor and had a good room. The only issue we had was the bed in that particular room... more

Stayed for the second time at the Saddler's House and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Mr. and Mrs. Pyne were friendly and accomodating, to the point where Joan let us park in front of her garage all day when we couldn't find street parking. Breakfast is wonderful - especially the Irish soda bread!! The best location in Derry - right near... more

We stayed here for only one night, but we could tell right away that this B&B was the place to stay in Derry. What a great place! The room we stayed in was on the first floor, but we weren't disturbed by any noise. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were within walking distance to everything. We came to... more

My daughter and I were vacationing and doing genealogical research; we used Saddler's House as home base for traveling the area. We were so welcomed, treated like friends and family, as were all the other guests during our stay. Breakfasts were great; loved Bertie the dog; felt like we had a second home and a real sense of neighborhood. Bathrooms... more

Owners and resident bulldog were friendly. Everything was clean and cozy. This part of Derry can get pretty loud, so I was very glad that the house is so well insulated that I heard none of the street ruckus. The proprietors really went above & beyond in many aspects of my stay. The only thing I can say that was... more

Saddler's house is a very cosy little B&B, in the centre of Derry city. It's so cosy that it doesn't actually feel like you're in the city at all, but its only a 5 minute walk to the walls. The owners were very friendly, as was Bertie, the bulldog who roams the stairs. There is a good restaurant right at... more

This location looked impressive on its website but when I phoned them re: availability before 11:30pm tonight the owner rather abruptly told me to get lost as it was 'very late and this is a family home'. Rudeness aside, the site gave no indication of suitable times to call. Needless to say I didn't phone back the next day. Shocking... more

Hospitable, clean, comfortable, affordable -- and steps from the walls. I have stayed there on several occasions and recommend it highly. more
