I stayed here with my parents when they came to visit in December. I normally would stay in hostels but this was a good choice for them. The owners were friendly and the house felt like it had alot of history. I would prefer to stay again at the hostels in the city, but for my parents this was a... More

We stayed here on a weekend trip from Belfast. The place was easy to find in our rented car with a GPS. Parking was of no problem as it was a saturday night. Once you stepped in you wouldn't think you were in a B&B. The place is soooo....... homely. It is like staying in a Irish friend's home. Peter... More

If you are looking for a smart modern place to stay then The Saddler's House is not for you. If you want somewhere comfortable and close to the heart of Derry then you should consider it. Joan and Peter are very friendly and are happy to share their extensive knowledge of the area with you.

Derry is one of my favorite places to visit. I just returned from a 6 day stay with my wife, brother and two other traveling companions. We all stayed at The Saddlers house. This is a period house that just entering is a delight. The house is restored and spotless. The hosts/owners, Joan and Peter Payne are very helpful and... More

Everything about this place is charming. The owners are wonderful, the rooms cozy and enchanting. The breakfast room inviting and beautiful prepared food. Joan and Peter the owners are so helpful and kind. It is the best place to build a memory of your stay. We have stayed here a couple times now, and I would not think of staying... More

If you ever go to book this wonderful house only to discover it's booked out and Instead are offered it's sister house "the Merchant", be prepared to be equally impressed. Both are period townhouses that have been lovingly restored and maintained by husband and wife team, Joan & Peter Pine. Rates are comparable if not better to the many knock... More

Have stayed here several times down the years but despite that we are going to give an honest review. Unusually we are going to start with a minor beef. The television! Tiny, you need a pair of binoculars to watch it. That out of the way this is a brilliant place to stay. You could not come across a nicer,... More

I have been there in april 2009. Though we booked no more than two hours before our arrival in Derry they managed to find a place for all seven of us. Both the owners are very kind and helpful. He slept on the sofa to let me stay in his room! Sir, you're great! I love houses that smell like... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Saddlers House. Joan and Peter were very welcoming and gave us good information for seeing Derry and recommendations for dinner. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, featuring Joan's homemade yogurt. We especially enjoyed the sitting room with a computer for guests. The location is ideal. Highly recommended. We would gladly stay there again.

There was a lovely warm welcome by Joan. She immediately made us feel at home and although parking can be a bit problematic, it was sorted promptly. Special Victorian house - built circa 1870. Breakfast was full of home made goodies - yummy.
